The Bourn Mansion is one of my favorite buildings in Pacific Heights because of it's rich and exciting history. Originally built in 1896 by William Bourn, but designed by Willis Polk, this mansion acted as his town home as he was busy starting what is today known as PG&E. Through the 60's - 90's the Mansion was a place of amazing parties with celebrity guests like the Rolling Stones and Rod Stewart. The house has recently fallen into disrepair and some say it needs at least 2 million to bring it back to it's former glory...that's more than it's currently worth.
