The park, created by landscaper John McClaren, is probably one of the most beautiful and diverse parks within an urban area. From Rose Garden to tennis courts, Conservatory of Flowers to two magnificent museums, the DeYoung and the Academy of Sciences, to the Strybring Arboretum and Botanical Gardens to the many ponds, lakes, golf course and sprawling green areas visitors can walk or ride along the winding paths through towering trees, the Music Concourse, around baseball diamonds, polo field, golf course, horse stables and even past a herd of bison!! It's a brilliant way to spend a day in San Francisco!! It's accessible by taking the bus right to the park or the Muni to 9th and Irving.
