The Wiggle is a bike route that basically runs from the intersection of Duboce and Market streets and to the Panhandle in the Lower Haight. It's called the Wiggle because it's a zig-zag route that is almost completely flat, roughly following the path of what was once the Sans Souci Valley watercourse. The Wiggle is a great, flat way to get from The Castro, Mission and SoMa over to the Haight, Golden Gate Park and the Richmond. You'll know you're going along the right path if you follow the white painted bike arrows on the side of the road, and basically just make sure you're always turning either north or west each time you see a steeper incline than the one you're on. There are great little stops along the way, like Duboce Park and the Duboce Park Cafe. You'll also see other bikers and get a feel for the amazing San Fran biking culture.
