Hi, there. My country we have alots of places to visit just depend on what kind adventure? Excemple like if you like to be peace with nice local people and nice mountain and nice temple just try to visit north of Thailand like Chiangmai, Chiangmrai, Maehongson, Lamphoon etc.... Or if you would like to be near the beach just go down south of Thailand like Phuket, Krabi, Kohsamui etc.... Or if you would like to visit poor people just go to north-east of Thailand.....That's just something I can give you some advice right now because I really don't know what kind or how possible for you to have vecation in Thailand. But 1st place you will visit for sure is Bangkok, capital of Thailand and busy place with many peoples. So let me know again with what you would like to do when you come to Thailand and just go to check it out in I think that website can help you to know something about Thailand. Have a nice day.

Regard, Tang.
Hi, there are lots of activities in Thailand depend on your interest. But would recommend to come between End of October to Start of November coz there is a famous event called Loy-Krathong (floating lantern) you can join around Thailand.
OK, October is not the best month for Diving, if you can delay a bit, I would recommend Koh Tao, great place to learn Diving, and full of other people learning, but October might not be the best weather. If you want recommendations for actual Diving Companies, I can supply as well
Hi. I can introduce you About Koh chang is an Island located in Trad province, Easter seaboard of Thailand, This Island is the second biggest Of Thailand, after Phuket.

The Weather here in October is not the best for Diving but around koh chang its easy dive here, still nice to dive and we have others activity too, Treetop Adventure (you will jump from one tree to another tree) visit the Waterfall, ATV, Air born etc.

ACCOMMODATION
Is depends on What You want, Location, Fan, A/C, Hot Water or just a hut to sleep. The price is different for the Location if is in White Sand Beach (is the famous or same as a main city for the island) The price is about 1800 THB up, if is in klong prow Beach ( is our shop location )we can find 350-500 THB per night the room is in Big Elk steak House and have swimming pool that we use for our try dive and open water Course, and the famous place for backpacker is Lonely Beach very cheap hut and bungalow 200-800 THB per night and have a wonderful Night live.

How to come to koh chang
cheap way is take a government bus from "Akkamai" you can get a night bus at 12.00 and you will be in Trad province at 05.00 in the morning and take a taxi to the pier " Ao Thammachart" first Ferry about 06.00-06.30 am only 30 min. you will be on koh chang.

When you are here on Koh chang, but you don't know where to start?!? Just tell the Taxi driver at the pier to stop at Scandinavian Chang Diving Center at Klong Proaw Beach.

I hope this information will help you. :)
Hi bonnie,

as the others' recommend, October is not the best month for diving because the wind is pretty strong. if you come from end of November onwards, you would be able to dive at Similan islands which is the national park and it will open again after monsoon season.
Hello Bonnie,
You have some good advice and I can reccomend you look at and then get back with some more details.

Regards,
Captain Michael
I would recommend coming for the Loi Kratong festival around the beginning of November if you could extend your stay.

Judging by your question, it seems like the coast would suit you best and I would recommend the Andaman sea (similan Islands, Phi Phi, Krabi or Phuket) but October it is still the rainy season and you would do better if you could delay your visit until mid-November, when the weather should be good and sea settled.
Hi, yes Thailand is the good place for diving, swimming, trekking and much more. However it's hard to do everythings, go everywhere, see everythings in just one trip so how long will you be here and what is your budget? If you wanna save some money travel by bus by night. October might be a bite rainy depending on the area. Give me more details I recommend you a lot as I travelled a lot in differents beautifull places

As everyone say...coming in Oct is not ideal for diving. If you can shift your plan a bit further to mid November, it will be good as monsoon season should be over by then. Only a week in Thailand, you won't be able to go to many places. At least a night in Bangkok, then move on to your selected destination...like fly to Phuket, and travel around there. You can visit Krabi which has many nice island, or even travel to Trang.

Have fun planning and saving...

Or if you decided to go to the east side of Thailand, you can visit Koh Samet in Rayong, Koh Chang, or even Trad. You can take public transport to the east. It is rather convenient and a bit cheaper than to to the south side.

In case you have a diving certificate, you just take a 3 days package to kho tao or some small islands near by then jump in! it is not too expensive including accommodation n meals there. the less of time you can head back to bangkok or spend more on the beaches at south of Thailand. As people said Oct. is not so good weather for diving, better to dalay 2 months then.

But if you don't have diving certificate, you will have to take full week to learn and if you are lucky you may be able to try a short dive on the last 2 days.

Have a good luck!
Hi Bonnie!
Like lots of suggestions before,in october is not da good time for diving! coz it's still in rainy season in Thailand. But if u really want to make it,i'd suggest u to go to south of Thailand like phuket or krabi, anyway for ur safety u've to make sure that that days'weather is ok!..coz that period may have a strong wind that'll be very dangerous for diving or swimming in da sea!

anyway, i think in october, it's really good time for trekking in the middle of Thailand if u like to! i'd recommend u to go to Teelorsoo waterfall in Tak province, the most beautiful and biggest waterfall in south east asia! @that time it'll be very beautiful and u can be nearer the nature than ever!

if u want more info u can ask me, i'd please to find out the answer for u!
Once you are a certified diver then you should seriously consider a minimum 4 day Liveaboard Cruise to The Similan and Surin Islands, the best diving that Thailand has to offer. The southern island Hin Daeng/Hin Muang are also worth it.These cruises operate from November to early May and they offer excellent value for money. Also these Liveaboards are readily available from any of the many Dive Operations on Phuket and Khao Lak.

Have a great holiday!
One week is a short trip but if that is all the time you have this is the itinerary that I would recommend:

Fly into Bangkok and then fly directly to Chiang Mai via Air Asia.
Stay in Chiang Mai for three days. Go trekking (one night two days), visit temples, go to markets, eat lots of good food and get a massage in Chiang Mai.
Also I recommend that you are in Chiang Mai on a Sunday so that you can go to the walking street market. In my opinion it is the best market in Chiang Mai.
Then I would fly directly into Phuket and take a boat from there to Ko Phi Phi and Ko Lanta. Stay on the islands for three days.
You can go snorkeling, scuba diving and relax on the beaches.
Finally I would take a boat to Krabi and fly from Krabi to Bangkok. I would spend one full day in Bangkok. I would splurge on a fancy hotel and buffet. I recommend the Dusit Thani.
The Phuket area of Thailand which is in the southern part has the best diving and cleanest water. It is inexpensive by bus but it would take a full day to get there. If you want to dive and swim this is where I would suggest.
Well....
Nice sea sand and sun down South where you can enjoy Andaman Gulf

Forest and treking in the North....enjoy the beautiful scenary of mountain and diversified cultures of many ethnics and local

Night Life and beach in Pattaya- East of Bkk

Temple and Ancient City in Ayuthaya and Bangkok.

it depends on where do ya wanna go first. and here is the rough scope.
i did the touring with my guests qround Kanchanaburi and Suphanburi for 2 days. we left bkk on the friday night and stayed in Kanchanaburi for 2 nights. In Kanchanaburi, you can easily rent a bike which is the most convienient way to go around the city. we went to death railway, cave temples. monkey show, museums, cementaries of WW2, eranwan waterfall. great time ever to stay at such a nice province. i rent a room at rafting guest house which is located on river Kaw. We then went to suphanburi for a chinese museum to see the giant dragon which is in front of the museum. it is so so huge. you will be impressed about that. also we went to the buffalo town where we ride the buffalo for fun. we ended up at the temple in the city to make a merit. i recommend you going to those provinces.
If you decide to come down South to Phuket, don't forget that the rainy season is at its worst here in October and that the weather can be very nasty. Also there are very strong currents in the Andaman Sea at that moment. Better you come in November when the weather starts to improve.
I can do up a good plan and also to make cheap and memorable trip. something like getting close to the local community ... you may want to contact me at and i can share you with more details.
diving courses or trip?
i have diving courses and also tours in reasonable price
for u in the dive site (in Thailand's Gulf)
Hope u got sufficient answers for ur 7days trip in Bangkok!
