hi will be visiting Singapore for the 1st time during the youth Olympics games..whats 5 things i must do or see while there.

2) explore Sentosa attractions

4) great shopping at Orchard Road
5) Trishaw ride and cultural exploration at Chinatown
6) walk along Singapore river
7) enjoy nature at Pulau Ubin, Southern Ridges or Botanical Gardens
8) taste the local food: Laksa, Ba kut teh, chilli crab etc
1) Go Resorts World Sentosa and enjoy your day at the universal studios.

2) Take the Singapore flyer, the world's largest observation wheel,30 metres taller than the London Eye.

3)Go shopping at Orchard Road. The Great Singapore Sale has already started in Singapore,so do not miss the chance for great shopping when you are in Singapore.

4)Go for a heritage tour along Chinatown and Little India.

5)Experience night life in Singapore when you go to Clarke Quay!
If you like to do the less touristy route, you can explore 1 or 2 outlaying islands, to visit a few farms that grow vegetables, milking goats etc. Or just walk to explore instead of the usual public transport.

Of course, Singapore is a food paradise, indulging in local food is a must. Our famed national dish Hainanese Chicken Rice, Laksa, Char Kuay Teow and many more....
If you have lots of time, explore the Western tip of Singapore such as the Singapore Science Centre, Jurong Bird Park or other nature reserves like the Bukit Timah Hill.These places are quite near to the Youth Olympic Village in NTU.
