Best places to see in Thailan and West Malaysia?

Which are the most important tourist attractions? What should we do for fun in these places? Pls give details on how to travel.

Country: Thailand

Localyte would be a much better place when people ask much more detailed questions!!How many days will you be in Thailand? Transport by air, bus or train? What do you like to do/see? Culture?Nature?Beaches?Nightlife?
you are absolutly right !!! 100% agree how can we help without any details...?!?!?
Agreed with Gee. It is very broad questions indeed!! At least, tell us how many day you have, and plan for each country. If you really want to have fun in each place you visit, at least 3 days 2 nights to explore...and also depending on your interests. There are many places to visit, in Thailand alone, whether you love mountain, beaches or city live. Give us more details please....
If you are a first timer Bangkok is a must in Thailand other than that I agree with the others responding to your question that you should specify your needs more and post another question at the site. Cheers
I agree with all. What are your interests? For example if you are keen on scuba diving then doing a Liveaboard Cruise to the world famous Similan islands located 90 km's north of Phuket would be a must.
Thailand: what do you like to see, culture, beach, activities, nature..... you can find all in Thailand from North to south but you need to know what do you want and how long you will stay
Where are you going, how do you want to get there and how many days are you staying. Thailand is a much much bigger country than it looks on any map. Give us more details and we can give you a more detailed answers. Thank you.
I agree with the other postings. I would check out Bangkok, a great vibrant city, if you are into bars&nightlife, go for a day or two to Pattaya, if you are into diving, visit Phuket and/or Samui.
What I forgot, if you are staying in Phuket, you are welcome to stay in my apartment at Layan
Musts of Thailand:
Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Phitsanuloke (Sukothai), Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son.

Musts of West Malaysia:
Kuala Lumpur, Melakka, Cameron Highlands, Penang, Langkawi.

How to travel: domestic flights with Air Asia, Thai Airways, MAS, Fireflyz.
Also local bus connections and train connections are very good.
Hi There,

Many fun place in Thailand and many beautiful place to if you like play water sport you should go south of Thailand of the sea there and view is nice and beautiful, If you want to see mountain you should go north of Thailand like Chaing mai coz there have many beautiful mountain and view, etc you can decide if you want to save money and did'nt mind to take a bit longer u can travel by Train is fun I have take train before they have first class that have bed u can sleep on, If you like more comfortable and did'nt mind to pay money you can choose to travel by plane!! or Bus is also nice now many nice travel bus is well. Hope this information will be helpful!
For Thailand, if you like cities, Bangkok and Chiang Mai. In Bangkok there is Wat Pho and Wat Arun, The Grand Palace, Weekend Market, Jim Thompson's House are some of the hightlights and from where it is get to the floating markets, Kanchanaburi and Ayuttaha. For beaches, the Andaman coast and islands Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi and Similian Islands are very beautiful.
If you come to Phuket, I would definately suggest you go and see the new Giant Buddha in Chalong. He is 45 meters tall in white marble. Stunning scenery to see as well as the other sights up the mountain. Road is good for cars, with good secure parking area.
As a Chiang Mai local, I would have to recommend my city! It's known as the 'Rose of the North' and has so many attractions. You can go jungle trekking, mountain biking, and sightseeing tours to the North of Thailand. There are many courses available such as massage, cooking, meditation, yoga, reiki etc.

It's a beautiful place to escape to when you've had enough of the hustle and bustle of Bangkok!

It's cheap too. A standard guesthouse room (with fan) can cost from 200 - 500 baht. Aircon rooms are 500 baht up.

Every kind of food is available - local Thai market food (20-30baht per dish), Western food (100-250 baht per dish) and 5 star deluxe hotel restaurants!

Enjoy your stay in the Land of SMiles!
