If your trip is temporary business or touristic purpose, and you have U.S. passport, you don't need to have a visa for Korea for a stay of max. 3 months
No need for a visa for stays under 30 days.
If you want to stay for 90 days, you have to get a visa from the Korean embassy.
You don't need a visa if your coming for a visit under 30 days. If you stay over 30 days nothing will happen to you accept maybe a slight headache at the airport when you leave.

If your coming to work you can get one before you come or once you get here you can apply for a visa at immigration with the help of your employer.
no you don't need a visa!
No.
You don't need a visa,if your purpose is just visiting and can stay max 3months.
The other answers are correct: you need a passport, if you are just visiting you can get a visitor's visa when you arrive, and it is only good for the duration of your stay, up to three months. It is worth noting that Korea is VERY strict about people trying to stay or work without the proper visa. They will deport you immediately!
If you are traveling just for few months you don't need a visa but if you are working, you need to have one.. but if you are coming to Korea like you are traveling but working, then you could go to Japan every 6 months for that! Than you don't have to worry about a visa status..
Just go to Japan every 6 months and stay there for a 2 or 3 days trip , your employer will let you do that.. I'm pretty sure that is what your employer would suggest for ya..Don't worry, just come as you are!!!
As previously stated, there is a 90 day limit for pleasure tourists. It is worth noting that immigration is not required to give you the maximum and at their discretion they may adjust the permitted duration of stay. A good way to travel to Korea for Americans is on a 3-month open ended ticket.
u don't need visa from 2009.
And maybe u can stay 90days in Korea without visa.
the days is not exactly. but i'm sure u don't need visa.
if you are staying within 6 month you don't need a visa
yes you can use just your passport
time limits? what's that?
americans do not need a visa to be a tourist. You are allowed to stay up to 30 days. You can apply to get an extended tourist visa good for up to 90 days.
As an American, you can stay up to 3 months as a tourist. If you need to stay longer than that, then you need to apply visa.
On your US passport, you can stay 90 days without a visa. If you want to stay longer you need to get a visa.

I'd recommend checking the Korean Embassy's website for any details.
South Koreans are on the No Visa section for visiting USA. So Americans here are given the 90 day visiting benefit. If someone has a different purpose for visting, then an earlier VISA can be attained or changed while in the country. Different VISAs require differnt documents.
don't need a visa for 90days.

No, not for up to a 90 day visit for touring. If you plan to work or live longer, you need to visit and click the English link to visas to get official information.
No, Americans can stay up to 90 days, your passport just has to be valid for 6 months after entry. When you arrive they will stamp your passport with a date 90 days from entry. No fees required. visit
