Does anyone know the number of Banana varieties that are to be found in Sri Lanka ?

I have heard about 21 types but i do not know exactly is it correct?
Close answer. It was actually 24 varieties, but now inly a few varieties can be found. Ambun, Ambul, Kolikuttu, Suwandel, Anamalu, Seeni, Rath Kehel, Nethrappalam, Bing Kehel, Puwalu, Alu Keselare the types available.
According to agricultural Department I heard it is 33 varieties,Please check from the agriculture Department.
I think that if we take the different types of each, such as Kolikuttu or Ambul, the it may become 33. But the main types I beleive are 24.
