Hi? I'm looking for a place I can go for horse-riding for a day, preferably in the wild. Close to nairobi would be good, but not a...

...constraint. If not horse-riding, a place where we can race in those small open cars on dirt tracks (not go-karting) Cheers you all!

Country: Kenya

Try the ngong racecourse on ngong road, but i'm not sure about the constraint part, finding a wild place is a bit hard butonce you are here its pretty easy to find out at the ngong racecourse because many riders converge there especially on weekends.hope that helps... cheers!
Dear Anthony,
We can rent a horse for you at Sopa lodge - Naivasha and then you can ride the same in the wild along Lake Naivasha. For racing, the Hell's Gate and its environs is the best for open cars. Sounds adventurers in the wilderness among wildlife. Can we help you in organizing this?
Hello Anthony,
The best place i know for horse racing nearing Nairobi is Kitengela Polo Club, it should be around 15-17 Km from the city of Nairobi, it is closer to Nazarene University .
One can get there driving from Nairobi via langata Road, south east of Nairobi, then turn left before rongai on Maasai lodge road. That takes you to Kitengela Polo. If you want me to meet you and take you there just let me know.
Ngong race course is not a daily thing it is done once or twce monthly and you might want to book before hand.
Hope this helps.

Hey Anthony! There's a place in Karen that has a riding school. Karen is about 18-20km from the city center about a half hour's drive. There are some really cool spaces out there, untouched, uncultivated, the trees are hundreds of years old it looks like Arizona in the 19th Century except greener. Plus there are lots of really cozy hotels near by, some expensive some manageable and some quite cheap. Let me know if you think this is good.
