Answers

Costume museum, humm, I am not sure. Remnants of fabric, yes. Remnants of fabric from antique kimono and such, definitely. I think April 3, 4 and 5 will take you into the weekend, so on Sat the 5th, you will find bazaars all around Tokyo in various places. For example the Temple at Gyotoku or the bazaar in Asakusa will have all kind of dealers and sellers out on the street, and you can find many remnants and fabrics and such. In Harajuku and Omotesando area too, there is always even on weekdays a guy set up on the main intersection with all kinds of used kimono and obi and such, very cheaply priced. Even for as low as JPY1,000 you can get wonderful brocaided obi (the woman's kimono long thick and ornate belt) that you can use to re-make into other costume, if that is what you are after.

Hope this helps.
