Hi there! We are staying at the Aria hotel and are avid hikers. Could you recommend a hilly hike that we could walk to from the hotel 2-3h?

City: Las Vegas

State: Nevada

Country: United States

There aren't really any hikes you can complete from the Aria in 2-3 hours. The Aria is in the middle of The Strip, and The Strip is about a 2.5 hour walk, one way, from the nearest side of the Las Vegas Valley, which is the East side.
If your looking for an urban hike, just walk North or South on Las Vegas Blvd and check out the hotels and casinos. The Strip alone is quite a hike!

If you can get to the edges of the valley, there are a couple hikes you could complete in 2-3 hours.
To go hiking, you have to drive out of town--but since Las Vegas is surrounded by mountains, you'll find plenty of hilly trails. Red Rock Canyon is your best bet right now since Mt. Charleston is under snow. I like Sandstone Quarry's Calico Tanks trail, which has rock stairs carved/built into the sides of the hills to take hikers up--also good rock scrambling and route finding there. Pine Creek and Ice Box also take you into the canyons, up rocky staircases, and across boulders. On the Strip, you can do loads of walking & to add "hills," you could take the stairs up/down on the elevated pedestrian walkways.
