Now it is winter in Bangladesh so u should try raw date juice in the morning. I f u want any other help u can contact me- .
You must try biryani which can be of any sort--be it Hazi or Mama or Fakruddin's or a dozen others. Also 'elish' fish--fried of in curried form. And 'pithas' of various kinds too numerous to write down. And many other culinary delights typical of Bangladesh!
You should not miss the bharta of different types. You will get these in Khushboo, Dhanshiri, in gulshan and Kasturi. Also, don,t forget the phuchka and hotpoti, the one in Gulshan near wonderland is clean. Winter is a good time for Paya and nan or Porata, try Star kabab for this treat in the morning. You must have missed the Chitoi pitha for a long time, look around the streets for this you are bound to get one in your locality. Enjoy it with a hot curry an Kashondi, chilli bharta.
if u want to eat something that would be safe for ur health then go to KFC or Pizza Hut. or if u try our food then must eat Fuchka and chotpoti.go Purano Dhaka and eat Bakhorkhani.u can try some "vorta" with rice, or Biriyani (though it would be much oily!) or Khichuri with Hilsha fish fry.i could work as ur "food guide" if u want coz i think it would be interesting! :p
If God allows a nation to take of the kitchen in the heavens - it should be Bangladeshis! Look at the nemorous Indian restaurants in UK - 90% of them are Bangladeshi .
What is more important is that most of those doesn't even serve true Bangladeshi food!
Enjoy Haji / Fakhruddin/Mama / Nannu biriyani .
Enjoy a lunch at Kasturi in Paltan.
Have a breakfast at Al Razzak / Royal / Prince .
have a dinner at Heritage restaurant run by famous Tommy Miah.
and off course, have a dinner and lunch at Adda ( at Probartana , near Ganabhaban ).

Finally, you must take every opportunity to let you invited by a Bangali family for lunch or dinner or a Pitha utsab.

Don't miss Pithas ( hand made cakes ) - you'l never know the difference between a cake and Pitha unless you are in a Bangali family. You can buy good Pitha from Pitha ghar at Baily road also.

Please also find time to enjoy kebabs at Mustakim in Bihari Camp at Mohammadpur or Shawkat at A block, Mirpur 10.

Please always drink bottled water.
