Safari Tours Safaris

Going on a safari through Kenya and Tanzania is incredibly popular with people around the globe. Enticing documentaries on National Geographic and Animal Planet have also made going on a safari even more popular. Because of this, prices have gone up and they will probably continue to rise during the next few years. Price hikes have mostly increased entrance fees to national parks (such as Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) and Kenya and Tanzania transport.

As you can imagine, safari prices are significant when having to split the cost of a vehicle, a chef, camping equipment and fees for entering a national park with a vehicle by only two people.

Affordable safaris in small groups
The best way to keep a safari affordable is by splitting the costs with several other people. So you can invite your best friends and family to travel with you and we'll create an affordable independent safari for you.

Trekking Kili Climb and trek across Maasai Land

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest single mountain in the world and Mount Kenya is the second highest in Africa. It’s prestigious to conquer one or both. This can also be great fun especially to groups like students, friends and colleagues as well as fitness and health enthusiasts. Our guides on these trips are knowledgeable and experienced individuals who have made countless trips to the mountaintops.

Bus & Minivan Tours Bus and van tours

We use two types of safari vehicles in Kenya: a comfortable 4x4 Toyota mini van and a Toyota land cruiser. Nearly all safaris in Kenya are done in 4x4 mini vans. These vehicles are excellent on bumpy and at times muddy roads. They are also more affordable than land cruisers, while being comparable in comfort and capibility. Mini vans have a capacity of 7 people plus baggage; however we advise travelling with a maximum of 6 people to ensure comfort and enough space. During game drives, the roof rolls back for a 360 degree view of your surroundings.

Naturally we can arrange for you to travel in a land cruiser during your Kenya safari if you wish; there is a 40% surcharge for this vehicle during safaris. The land cruiser looks great on safari pictures and if you're travelling in a group of 4 or more, then it's worth considering.

All of our Tanzania safaris are done in Toyota land cruisers. During the safari, your luggage is stowed partially in the back of the vehicle and partially on its roof. We recommend using a backpack or soft bag while travelling instead of a hard shell suitcase that can be damaged during rides on bumpy roads.

City Walking Tours City tours

Nairobi is a city, financial capital, administrative capital, province and the capital of Kenya. The main languages spoken here are Swahili and English. There are many churches, mosques and temples where people of different faiths go to worship. Restaurants serve almost every kind of food, from local dishes to the most exotic. Curries from India and Pakistan are very popular as is Chinese, Arabian and European cuisine. Nairobi has the modern technology.

Biking Biking for Fun

For the fit and adventurous, this is truly an exciting experience! See Africa, her people and her wildlife from the ground as you cycle through deserts, forests, up mountains and down valleys.

Wind your way through tiny villages and bustling market towns into a true wilderness where you cycle past herds of antelope, graceful giraffe and inquisitive zebra.

Following tracks and paths through the countryside, you avoid the main roads and traffic, getting truly off the beaten track as you explore the East African countryside.

Mountain biking can be arranged as a one-day activity or as the basis for your entire safari. In either case, you'll have a support vehicle in case of emergencies, carrying all the cyclist supplies.

Try biking as a truly mobile safari adventure!

Visit to Communities Maasai Manyatta Visit experience

A visit to a Maasai Boma (Masai village tour) is an interesting experience. As you arrive at the village, excited children and adults welcome you with song and dance, At certain times, one of the dancers will jump up and down gracefully. The jumps are several feet high! You will be invited to try jumping -(dancing), too, to your dismay you will be no match for their levitation act!!

You will then be welcomed into one of the homesteads in the village, The village huts (called Manyatta) are made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick frames. this is quite practical, the Masai maintain cattle herds, and the dung is always in generous supply, and it's free. One of your host will give you an insight into Maasai life, some of them may not speak English but our guides will interpret for you and the elders so that stories may be exchanged. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history and lifestyle of these Maasai. You may ask as many questions as you like and take photographs.

Hot Air Balloon Hot Air Balloon in Nairobi, Kenya

The feeling is indescribable, crispness of the African air, chill in the wind that hits your face as your Mara hot air balloon gradually rises, smoothness in the exhale of your breath, and the excitement to see and learn more. One's physical presence can be felt on the plains of the Masai Mara when reading this.

You trip begins when you get your wake up call at your safari lodge or tented camp in the early hours of the morning, as you yawn away, and thoughts about your wildlife viewing from an elevated position begins to stir your mind. The fresh Kenyan traditional hot tea and coffee quickly awaken you, in fact preparing you for a "mission".

By 6.15 a.m. you are almost arriving at the hot air balloon site in the Masai Mara. As you approach the site, the balloon seems bigger than you expected, the experience is one that has never been visited, and you are about to have a trip of a lifetime.
