Biggest eruption from Krakatau Volcano is in 1883, the volcano ash was flown by the wind far away in the sky and made East Asia dark, covered by the ash. The volcano is still active, last small eruption was March 2009. Krakatau could be reached from Carita Beach for about 1.5 hour. Carita Beach itself is about 3 hours drive from jakarta. The volcano is located at Sunda Strait, find the map to figure it :-) So what is interesting about Krakatau? I'll tell you: 1. we can get picture of smoking steam crater 2. we do adventure trip to one of Krakatau Volcano called Anak Krakatau: - first level about 180 meters above the sea - second level about 300 meters above the sea, but we need authority permit. The Krakatau beach is very clear sea water......

Old Batavia Town is located in North Jakarta, next to Main Rail station. First we can enjoy the architecture of the station, built in 1930 with the name in Holland: Be Oost Station. From there, walking 5 minutes, we reach the Old Town of Batavia with the hall, and the Museum Fatahillah. The museum features memorabilia and historical development with some collection of 18Th century furnishings and portraits of the former colonial governors.
