Day 1
Pick up from any Colombo Hotel at 0800. Drive to Kandy on the Colombo/Kandy Main Road (Approx 3 1/2 Hours). Check in at Hotel
In the afternoon visit the Botanical Garden at Peradeniya / do a City Tour of Kandy / Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and proceed to witness a Sri Lankan Cultural Show including a fire walking display. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Leave hotel at 0800 and visit the City Center with a visit to a Batik Factory (wax-resist dyeing technique), a Handicraft Center and a Gem Factory (you will be introduced to all Sri Lankan Gems and how the mining is done). On completion proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see the orphaned Elephants of Sri Lanka. You could witness the bottle feeding of the baby elephants and elephant bathing. Lunch could be arranged at a Restaurant while watching the elephants being bathed by the Mahouts (elephant caretakers). On completion you will be dropped back at your Colombo Hotel.
