| About me: | I came to Nicaragua four years ago to escape the English winter. I'm still here now (November 2009) - married, with a dog, 2yr old son and with no means to get home. I heard a saying a few years ago about Nicaragua which struck chord with me as being particularly true "Nicaragua - stay for a week and you'll never return. Stay for a month and you'll never leave!" |

Offered Services
James' Taxi Service
I will fetch and carry guest from/ to the airport in Managua, or the border ar Penas Blancas, or Granada... This service is at cost (diesel, food) for guests. Not available for non-guest.
Driving Through Mud & Really Deep Puddles
As this describes the general driving conditions in Nicaragua, I guess I'll merits inclusion... Availability depends on the time of the year - come late October if you want the ultimate experience. Dry season is good for kicking up great clouds of dust. Rates depend upon where you want to go, and if already happen to be going there.
Tola Beaches - Great Walking & Surfing
Hike to the south to Gigante, or to the North to Rancho Santana. In both directions the beaches are stunningly beautiful and opportunities abound for surfing, shell collecting and beach fishing.
Landcruiser taxi
Airport pick-ups, shopping trips, kitesurf trips, surf trips, trips to Granada... Guests get rides at cost, within reason.
World class surfing and kitesurfing
There are tons of really good kitesurfing spots along the lee shore of Lake Nicaragua. I am very into kitesurfing so will provide very cheap (read diesel money & lunch) transportation services to guest wanting to go kitesurfing. Wave surfing - well, you don't need a car. We have two world class breaks on our doorstep, and about many more within a half hour drive - including the famous Popoyo outer reef.
Cycling
Guest are welcome to use our mountain bikes. They're not exactly hi-spec(they cost $100 each...) , but they are all in good working order and provide a more efficient means of covering ground than your legs.
