| About me: | 63 year old adventurer who spent three weeks before his 60th birthday trekking Nepal, arriving at base camp of Mt. Everest to have lunch of a Tuna Fish sandwich and hot tea, on my birthday, @ 17,500 ft. Best meal I ever ate! Sitting on top of the world at 60! Can life just keep getting better? Activities: Adventure Vacations, hiking and bicycling third world countries and other areas of the world. In 2001 I spent a month in the Mid-East, traveling in Dubai, Oman, Iran, Jordan, Syria and Israel. In 2004 I spent a month bicycling Vietnam from Hue down the coast, then up into the Central Highlands and then down into Saigon. Last year I spent almost a month traveling throughout Turkey, spending almost a week, with an older couple on the Mediteranean Coast. Books: I just finished "Mandarin" by Robert Elegant and now I am reading "Neither East nor West" by Christiane Bird Movies: Last good movie was "Slum Dog Millionaire" Music: Jazz and classical |
