The most interesting pleases in Kiev: Golden Gates ( at least look at, they closed from entrance till late spring, in winter's agenda) Lavra (Can be half day excursion) Sofievskaya Church Mihaylovsky Cathedral (museum available also on the territory) Andreevskaya Church (Ukrainian Baroque style) Vladimirskaya Church (Unique frescos of Vasnetsov) Podol district with a churches of 12 century Also would be good to take car general excursion for get understanding where you are :) For the warmer season with a green and trees in blossom would be good go in Pirogovo...Its a big museum of architecture under the sky ...in territory of few hundred km.There you would see how traditional Ukrainian house had chanhes by the time and region.There is entrance available guide, so you will get full pleasure for walking and guide support. Its a can be full day excursion as there pretty much to see. Also you can visit some of ship excursions on the Dnepr river. One of different side of Kiev -it s night life...here is number of clubs and restaurants which you would like to see. In the May in the botanic garden there is collection of the wonderful trees which going to be in blossom and that is something !!! Galleries and artists on the Andriivsky Uzviz it s Kiev's Montmartre :) Also to the list of MUST LOOK I would like to add Kiev's restaurants with a national cuisine. Night life in Kiev its a nice entertainment.Here is number of clubs with a different kind of music up to your preferences. City views good to see in the evening in the Victory park...
