Day 1: Hanoi -Halong Bay

* Depart from your hotel in Hanoi to Ha Long . 12: 00, check-in registration, Board Anh duong junk. Have lunch on board with welcome drink.
* The cruise will take you by exotic islets with shapes of Dog, Incense Urn, Sail, Fighting Cocks, which are naturally formed by process of erosion between the see water and lime stone mountains. Arrive Surprise Cave and explore the by bay kayak, paddle to Luon cave, this cave is a natural tunnel thrusts through a mountain's foot and leads to an exotic lagoon surrounded by mountains covered by by dense junle. Day 1: Ha Long - Cat Ba Island

07:30: The bus and guide pick you up at your hotel.

08:00: Leave Hanoi by road for Ha Long Bay. Enjoy a three and a half hour journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.

11:30: Arrive in Ha Long and board a junk for cruise on the emerald green waters of Ha Long Bay, among the 3,000 spectacular limestone islands. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on board before starting wonderful journey. Leave the junk for your visit to the recently discovered Thien Cung Cave with its great views and nearby see Dau Go Cave. After the cave trip, we go back to the junk and keep sailing to Cat Ba Island. 16:00: Arrive in Cat Ba Island and check in your hotel. 18:00: Dinner. Overnight in Cat Ba.

Day 2: Cat Ba national park

Breakfast at hotel.

08:00: Takes a guided tour by bus to the National Park, which is home to various types of mammals and about 2,000 species of flora. Leave the bus and take a short trek through the forest and climb up Ngu Lam Mountain . From the peak of the mountain you can see most of the landscapes of Cat Ba Island. Take the same track back to your bus and drive back to your hotel. 12:00: Lunch. Pm: Free at leisure. Pm: Free at leisure. Overnight in Cat Ba.

Day 3: Cat Ba Island - Ha Long - Ha Noi

Breakfast at hotel. 08:00: Leave Cat Ba Island by your same boat for Ha Long City. 11:30: Arrive at Ha Long harbor 12:00: Lunch in a local restaurant. 13:00: Return to Hanoi . 16:30: Arrive in Ha Noi. Tour ends at your hotel.

8:00 departure. Enjoy the interesting 3.5 hour drive to Ha Long city. Arrive in Ha Long city. Lunch. Then take a private boat trip about 4hrs journey. Cruise through the emerald waters between the limestone outcrops and long corridors, visit THIEN CUNG cave (the cave of the heavenly palace - famous for its stalagmites and stalactites) the cave has only opened to the public since 1998. A short way visit the newly discovered DAU GO grotto (wooden stakecave-where in 1288 one of Vietnamese most famous Generals Tran Hung Dao amassed hundreds of stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongol army). Back to Halong city where your minibus will be waiting for you to take you back to Hanoi. 20h30 Arrive in Hanoi.

Daily Classes start in our tropical garden where you will meet your chef and other participants to discuss your day.
Your first adventure starts with a stroll to the local market situated in the Old quarter. Here you will be dazzled by the bright colours of the fruits and vegetables and smell the sweet and not so sweet smells as you're guided around the market. Watch the locals pick their daily food and haggle over the price. Feel free to join in the process and have a go at haggling with the help of your chef.

On returning to Old Hanoi you will be served some local refreshments and freshen up before your class. You will start with an explanation of the ingredients used in Vietnamese cooking then under guidance from our chef you will be making Vietnamese dishes in no time.

Do not worry if you struggle our chefs will always be willing to give you a helping hand.

Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai
19h30: Our guide pick up you from your hotel to go to rail way station B, catch the night train for Lao Cai. You will have a good sleep with the solf sleeper bert

Day 1: Sapa - Cat Cat village ( B, L, D)
06h00: pick up from Lao Cai train station, get on the bus to continue to Sapa. After breakfast, you are free to discover Sapa town or walk up the Ham Rong – Orchird garden to greet the sun. Chat with minority children in market.
11h00: Check in hotel, have lunch.
13h30: Our guide will take you to Cat Cat village, visit the French existing hidro - electric power station beside the Cat Cat waterfall. Study the way H’Mong villagers make their own hamp clothes, grow rice and corn. See the show of minority people - traditional dance and singing. Go back to Sapa on foot.
18h00: Have dinner then you are free to walk around Sapa town in the evening.

Day 2: Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van ( B, L, D)
7h30: after breakfast, we start with 6 km walking down to the South East of Sapa alongside Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village, trek 2 km down to Lao Chai village, take picture of paddle field and visit minority house and school. Have picnic lunch in the Black H’Mong house, discover their daily life style and enjoy landscape.
13h00: continue your trekking to Tavan village of Dzay minority people then back to Sapa by van. Arrive Sapa at 15h30. Have shower at hotel.
16h00: Bus take you to Lao Cai.
18h30: Have dinner in restaurant, free to go shopping before the night train around 21h00 back to Ha Noi.

Night 3: Train Lao Cai – Hanoi
21h00: solf sleeper train back to Hanoi.

This trip to the north west highland of Mai Chau offers a balance of cultural and physical activity set amongst some northern Vietnams stunning natural landscape. We trek for one and a half days through villages in Mai Chau and overnight in a White Thai village where we have opportunities to observe the local lifestyle of these minority people. From the mountainous region of Mai Chau, we travel back to the nations capital, Hanoi.
Day 01: Hanoi - Hoabinh - Boat trip - Maichau (Lunch/Dinner)
We depart Hanoi and head west towards Hoa Binh City where we stop for refreshments. Leaving Hoa Binh we climb towards the Mai Chau valley, about another two hours away, stopping on the way to take in the spectacular scenery. Following lunch in Mai Chau town we drive to the White Thai village of Poomcong. Afternoon we walk to the surrounding village. Our hosts for this evening will be the White Thai minority people. In sampling these peoples hospitality, we find out a little more of their lives and cultures with a cultural exchange following the evening meal.

Tonights accommodation will probably be a little more rustic than you would be used to.

Day 02: Maichau village - Lac & Van villages (Breakfast/Lunch)
Following breakfast we embark on a lovely walk to Lac village and Van village. As we walk we will encounter the local villagers going about their daily business tilling the fields, logging or herding the buffalo. We enjoy lunch in Maichau before we drive back to Hanoi. Visit Muong village in Hoabinh.

ST- 01 : Hanoi City Tour

8h00 AM Departure. Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho"s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh"s house on stilts. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi . Continue to visit the Quan Thanh Temple ( Taoist, dating from the Ly Dynasty ) and Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake ( One of the oldest in Vietnam ). Lunch.
PM : After lunch proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum, continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. Vietnam"s first university constructed in 1070, it"s gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam"s past. We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake, see the peaceful waters, and visit Ngoc Son temple. For the end of the tour journey visit by coach trip along the Hanoi Old Quarter. Free for shopping.

Location: Bat Trang Pottery Village is located in the south east of Hanoi, passing Chuong Duong Bridge turns right and go about 10km along the dike of Red River. Bat Trang belongs to Bat Trang Commune, Gia Lam District, Hanoi, Vietnam.
Characteristic: This is a pottery village with a half-millenary historic development.
Some decades recently, the vitality of this village is still blown up by the thousands of pottery-kiln on fire day and night.
In the period about 12th - 14th century, there are a numbers of families in Bo Bat Pottery Village (in Thanh Hoa Province now). They were Bui, Phung, Tran and Vu families coming there to work pottery, selling it to people in city even doing business with foreigners. At first, it was called Bach Ho Group and when there are the thousands of pottery-kiln, it was called Bat Trang - the age of name is as approximately old as the age of group.
Who was the Bat Trang pottery ancestor? As a popular documentary he is Hua Vinh Kieu who gained a pupil scholar certificate under the reign of Ly. On the occasion of being sent to the north country under the Sung Dynasty ( China today) as King’s envoy, he learnt work and taught to people when he came back. He was regarded as the founder. But according to the "Dao Tuong Kinh Su Bi Ky" epitaph, Tran Hoe Doctor in Tu Chi built it. Quy duke, Nguyen Thanh Chau, in 1737. He was the founder. On the other theories, Luu Phuong was said to be the founder...
When it was seen on the Dai Viet administrative map, Bat Trang products were got the favor of people from the top citizen class in Thang Long to the poor peasant in country. Bat Trang family use items gone far abroad. From the early 15th century, China was the place with the tradition pottery work for the thousands of years and well known in the world but there were ever the tens of Bat Trang pottery sets in the tribute festival. Since then in every reign, in decline or prospect situations, Bat Trang Pottery Village still assured the worth of goods, kept position and passed every trial. It is proud of working, living, old origin in Bat Trang. In the Gia Lam proverb, there is a word: "living to be man in Bat Trang, dying to be tutelary spirit" that means it is very happy to be a man in Bat Trang because of the stable pottery work, big fortune. In Kieu Ki Village, there was a work of making Indian ink; material was the skin of buffalo. They had to kill buffalo and worship tutelary spirit so this tutelary was well off. Bat Trang likes a symbol of Vietnam traditional trade village.
It is a famous trade village, recently, there are over 6,000 people in 1,500 families with the total 153ha. The rate of pottery kiln in Bat Trang is the first rank at the other same villages in the world. Most men in Bat Trang follow the traditional work (nine of ten) except for person leaving home. After over an innovation decade, many traditional trade villages are recovered, the innovation and increase of Bat Trang Pottery Village are increasing unbelievably.
On the basic of tradition pottery technique, Bat Trang pottery workers have taken - abused-propagated greatly the progress of science technology into every stage in making pottery. It has made many types of top class pottery, that is useful and beautiful and it upgrades the sense of pottery art. The Bat Trang list of pottery getting high quality is longer more and more by day like bowl, dish, pot, cup, wine pot, a big flower-vase, leg lamp, lime-pot, big-bellied jar... It made by all sort of glazes as ancient pearl blaze, crackle glaze, dark glaze, indigo-blue flower glaze, grey flower glaze, melt glaze...
In 10/2004, Bat Trang Pottery Market was opened in the area of over 5.000m². It is not only the place to display and trade but also an interesting tourist site in Hanoi.

Exploring the Old Quarter of Hanoi Vietnam
I emerge from the comfort of my air-conditioned hotel into the sweltering, teeming streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. The narrow road is home to a traditional street market.
