| About me: | A Guide Inside is a guide service (and more) based in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast. It's for the independent traveller who would like a comprehensive introduction to the historical and cultural wealth of the Amalfi Coast. It's for those wanting to savour the region's food & drink; those wanting to explore the area’s cottage industries & source new things; anyone wishing to be accompanied on cultural/shopping trips whether on the coast or further afield such as Naples. It's also for walkers who want to walk the less well-trodden inside (and accompanied too if required). |

First, if you don't read and write Italian, you're going to have to find a translator for all communications. Even then, most local (understaffed) record offices are overwhelmed with their regular business and genealogy requests received by post must be politely ignored. It's not all the fault of the record system. American and British researchers are usually surprised to learn that their ancestral family names are so common in a locale that it is often impossible
for office staff to make proper identifications without someone present who can further interpret details as they pour over indexes and registers... (full Testimonial iin www.aguideinside.com)
...Angela's research world spans the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento to Salerno. Her base of operation is Ravello.
I was fortunate in that she was local to the four record centers most necessary for my investigation. Research
done further afield will obviously cost more due to travel time. If your serious about family history research in
this region of Italy, I would recommend you contact Angela Imperato at angela.imperato@gmail.com.
