The Hungarian Tokaji Wine Region Historic Cultural Landscape consists of 28 named villages and 7,000 hectares of classified vineyards. We have their representative in Dnipropetrovsk and offer you to try their delicious wine.

Take this walk to the Memorial of Glory at the end of the central Boulevard Karla Marksa street. There you can watch a stunning river view, where a tremendous liberation battle for the city was fought. Go to the museum and watch the panoramic display. Hear and see this battle being fought.

The dendrological park "Sofiyivka" of Ukraine's National academy of Science, which is situated in the town of Uman, Cherkasy region, is well-known far away the borders of Ukraine as one of the most famous masterpieces of the world landscape gardening of the end of XVII - the beginning of XIX centuries stands at the same level with other examples of park construction of Europe, such as Balbi Garden in Florence (Italy), San-Susi Park in Potsdam (Germany) and Versailles (France). This park was created by prince Pototsky for his beauty wife Sofia. Duration of all trip is approximately 9-11 hours. Distance from Kyiv to Uman is 200 km.

The official name of Askaniya-Nova is Askaniya-Nova Biosphere Reserve. It was founded in the 1880s by a German, Friedrich Falz-Fein as a preserve for the protection of wildlife.A section of Askaniya-Nova is occupied by what can be called a zoological park, which is overgrown with giant trees, and has a lake too with elms and poplars standing around it as guards. Their reflections in the still water add a romantic touch to the scene. Among rare or even unique species of animals that you can come across in the park are deer of a species that had died out in nature but were saved from total extinction in British zoos.In addition to the zoo section, there is an area in Askaniya-Nova which is reserved for a huge botanical garden that is also an abode of many species of birds among which lapwing seem to be particularly numerous.In the dendrological park of Askaniya-Nova you can find places which look like a wild forest with water springs and small lakes and ponds, swarming with fish. There is a clearing surrounded by spruces and firs of bluefish tint that got nicknamed “Blue”.Askaniya-Nova now is a major tourist attraction, not only a place where rare and endangered species are taken care of and given excellent opportunities to survive and propagate. Tourists come to Askaniya-Nova for several reasons — just to relax, get from it all, or experience the wild nature. For some, coming to Askaniya-Nova is like getting to see a glimpse of the earthly paradise in its primordial beauty and majesty.

To enjoy real authentic works of Ukrainian craftsmen one must go to Petrikovka - a settlement (5,000 pop.) on the Chaplynka river, 46 km from Dnepropetrovsk. This village has a very rich history and is well known far beyond the borders of Ukraine for its artisans who make unique paintings on paper, wood and metal.

The history of the village dates from the XVIII c. when some small winter Cossack settlement appeared here. The name of one Cossack was Petrik and already under this name the village was mentioned in the documents of 1756. At this time the church of Nativity was constructed, but later in the XIX c. it was replaced by a new one.
In 1774 a military garnizon quartered here. From the very beginning of its history the village was known for its industrious talented women who decorated the walls of the houses with beautiful flower paintings both inside and outside. They used natural organic paints, colored clay and soot. At the beginning of the XIX c. the village was known for its decorative chests, woven carpets, belts, colourful materials for Ukrainian national costumes.
In 1929 the needle-workers organized the first “artel” (organized group). Its fame spread round Ukraine. In 1958 a department of lacquered paintings on wood was opened here. The Petrikovka products got very high appraisals in different exhibitions and in 1961 all its shops were united into the factory of souvenirs.
Besides visiting the museum where the best samples are exhibited the visitors can observe a very delicate process of making these chef d'oevres and then buy them. Come and touch real Ukrainian art!

The Khotyn Fortress is a fortification complex located on the shores of the Dniester River in Khotyn, Chernivtsi Oblast (province) of western Ukraine.
