Independent Himalayan Adventure

- Adventure tours - Adventure Travel - Peak Climbing - Mountain Expedition - Paragliding - Canoying - Caving - Honey Hunting Adventure tourism in Nepal dates back to the early attempts to scale the world’s highest peaks. It has come a long way since. While trekking, mountaineering and game watching have long been popular, an entire range of other possibilities have been explored in the recent years – rafting, biking, fishing, rock climbing, paragliding, ultra-light aircraft, hot air ballooning, mountain flight, boating, pony treks, jet scooter, boating and bungy jumping. This varied landscape has some of the best sites for these activities, raging rivers to run, mountains to scale, clear blue skies, challenging treks, fine lakes and rivers to boat, fish and raft down, and a wild terrain to ride. Go trekking in the lower slopes where along with forests of rhododendron, isolated hamlets, villages, temples, monasteries and breathtaking landscapes, you will also encounter friendly people of different cultures offering a fascinating taste of traditional rural life. Enjoy scenic rafting, one of the best ways to explore the typical cross section of natural as well cultural heritage of the country. You can glide on clam jade waters with magnificent scenery all around or rush through roaring white rapids. Rafting is inarguably the best way of exploring Arcadian Nepal, as it takes you through hamlets, canyons, virgin forests, and wildlife. How about a jungle safari in the densest forest in South Asia? Venture into the jungles of the National parks located in the Terai region on elephant back across rivers and swamps, Rare animals and birds will greet you at every corner. Be prepared for a royal treat. Royal Bengal tiger may surprise you by his majestic appearance. Nepal’s diverse terrain is a mountain biker’s dream adventure come true. Mountain biking offers an environmentally sound way of exploring this magnificent country, its landscape and living heritage. Because this is a spartan, laborious mode of travel, it is also considered the way to travel by the so-called “purists”. For all those cliffhangers out there, Kathmandu offers terrific places for rock climbing that make for an experience of a lifetime. Make sure you leave time for hot air ballooning for a bird/s-eye view of the Kathmandu Valley and the magnificent Himalaya. See life from a new perspective as you take off in a micro-light aircraft for motor gliding in Pokhara. A trip will take you over some of the best scenery on earth, as you share airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles, kites and float over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungle, with a fantastic view of the majestic Himalayas. If you thought that bungy jumping is restricted to some locations in North America, Europe, and New Zealand, it/s time you got an update. The sport has found a natural home for itself in the highest and most magnificent mountain range in the world. The ultimate thrill of a bungy jump can now be experienced in Nepal at one of the best sites that this sport can boast of anywhere in the world. The Bhote Kosi, one of the world’s wildest raging rivers, rushes down from the heights of the Himalayas. It roughly translates as `river from Tibet’ and so there are a lot of rivers that go by this name in Nepal. This Bhote Kosi is the main tributary of the Sun Kosi and is followed by the Arniko highway from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Nepal’s first Bungy jumping site is situated 160 m over this river, inviting you to experience the ultimate adrenaline rush in the surroundings of this amazing place. An extreme sport popular in Europe, canoying is now available in Nepal. canoying gives you the freedom to explore some of the most ruggedly beautiful, yet forbidden places in the world. Top off your visit with a mountain flight for a stunning visual finale. Mountain flights offer spectacular views of the Himalaya in just one hour. Only awe-stricken silence can come close to matching the experience of going on a mountain flight to encounter the tallest mountains of the earth. These flights offer the closest possible aerial views of Mt. Everest and other above 8,000 m peaks. Come be part of this experience with Trekking and Mountaineering as well as other tours.

Safari Tours Chitwan Jungle Safari

Ask Me a Question

Chitwan National Park is the first national park in Nepal. Formerly called Royal Chitwan National Park it was established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 932 km2 and is located in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal in the Chitwan district. In altitude it ranges from about 100 metres (330 ft) in the river valleys to 815 metres (2,674 ft) in the Churia Hills.
In the north and west of the protected area the Narayani-Rapti river system forms a natural boundary to human settlements. Adjacent to the east of Chitwan National Park is Parsa Wildlife Reserve, contiguous in the south is the Indian Tiger Reserve Valmiki National Park. The coherent protected area of 2,075 km2 represents the Tiger Conservation Unit (TCU) Chitwan-Parsa-Valmiki, which covers a 3.549 km2 huge block of alluvial grasslands and subtropical moist deciduous forests.
Since the end of the 19th century Chitwan - Heart of the Jungle – used to be a favorite hunting ground for Nepal’s ruling class during the winter seasons. Until the 1950s the journey from Kathmandu to Nepal’s South was arduous as the area could only be reached by foot. Thus, in an area known as Four Mile Forest (चार कोसे झाडी) comfortable camps were set up for the feudal big game hunters and their entourage, where they stayed for a couple of months shooting hundreds of tigers, rhinocerosses, leopards and sloth bears.
In 1950 Chitwan’s forest and grasslands extended over more than 2,600 km2 and was home to about 800 rhinos. When poor farmers from the mid-hills moved to the Chitwan Valley in search of arable land, the area was subsequently opened for settlement, and poaching of wildlife became rampant. In 1957 the country's first conservation law inured to the protection of rhinos and their habitat. In 1959 Edward Pritchard Gee undertook a survey of the area, recommended creation of a protected area north of the Rapti river and of a wildlife sanctuary south of the river for a trial period of ten years [2]. After his subsequent survey of Chitwan in 1963, this time for both the Fauna Preservation Society and the International Union for Conservation of Nature, he recommended extension of the sanctuary to the south
Chitwan is famous for Jungle safari and elephant riding for attractive package of 2 nights 3 days.

Price:

Kanchenjunga Base Camp from Basantapur - 30 days
Trek to worlds 3rd Highest Mountain :: Kanchenjunga via Basantapur

A journey to Kanchenjunga trekking area is a special treat- starting from the tropical lowlands through great rhododendron forests and lovely villages of eastern north Nepal up to the glacier and overwhelming views. This trekking lead to base camp of third highest peak of the world Mount Kanchenjunga which is least known among all great peaks. Exotic name such as Wedge peak, Pyramid peak, Janu Himal, White Wave, the Twins and, of course, Mount Kanchenjunga (8586 meters) provide the inspiration to make the challenging trek to base camp. Our approach takes us up through terraced hillsides of the remoter ethnic group of Rai and Limbu and then among well preserved forest of rhododendron, birch oak and spruce.

The trek offers you the nature in its pure form, where besides the Mount Kanchenjunga 8586 m. /28170 ft., you get to see various other fascinating mountain peaks; Mount Yalung Kang (8505m), Dromo Peak (6100m), Yalung Ri (5200m) etc. Rich flora and fauna, and the stunningly beautiful scenarios. This region is inhabited by the friendliest people of Nepal, such as Rai and Limbu, Chhetris and Brahmins whose cultural treasures and rituals always thrill the visitors. In spite of the difference in traditions and rituals, you get to see them living in peace and harmony with other ethnic groups.

Kanchenjunga Conservation Area spread in an area of 2035 square Kilometers and KCAP area has a rich diversity of wildlife including snow leopard, Himalayan black bear, musk deer red panda and others. Pheasant, red-billed blue magpie, shy-drongo are the major birds found in Kanchenjunga trekking route. Kanchenjunga trek to the south and north faces of the world's third highest mountain offers fantastic Himalayan views, including Everest. Kanchenjunga base camp trekking provides you with an adventure trekking in eastern part of Nepal Himalaya.

We fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar and transfer to Basantapur on the same day. The trek concludes at Suketar via the descent from Omje Khola, from where we fly back to Kathmandu. However the easiest and quickest possibility to reach the starting point Taplejung (Suketar) accessible by air, to capture the scenic beauty of reserved forest where almost 24 different varieties of Rhododendron flowers are found in 'Milke Danda'.

Few high passes are encountered while trailing to both the elevation in one go however during favorable weather conditions, it is quite accessible, or else, an additional of few days will be required to complete the trek via a moderate route. Nepal offers a great diversity of terrain with a varied climate from the pleasant scenic rides of the tropical plains of Terai to the subtropical valleys of the middle mountains, to the more challenging Trans Himalayan zones that lie in the rain shadow of the Himalayas. About 48% of Nepal's population lives in the middle mountains, which includes the broad shallow basin of the Kathmandu Valley.

The inhabitant's form a diversity of ethnic groups, a blend of the Indo-Aryan and the Tibeto-Burman races. The only flatlands in Nepal run from the east to west and lie in a narrow strip of the southern Terai.

Nepal is the world's number one adventure playground for mountain bikers. From the flatlands of the Terai to the terraced hillside farms, the vertical landscape soars towards the snow clad peaks of the Himalayas, inviting you to share the adventure of this awesome landscape. The tropical lush vegetation is a rich contrast against the stark, arctic regions where winds have swept, sculpting amazing forms on arid valleys of the Tibetan plateau. Discover yourself in one of the world's greatest wonders by joining us on an exhilarating and memorable biking adventure in the Himalayas.

Mountain biking is a tremendous way to see the exotic sights of our kingdom such as the ancient routes of Trans-Himalayan Traders and the rural village life of Nepal. Here you will enjoy the timeless culture and rich flora and fauna of our heritage as you explore such wonders as the Kathmandu Valley, the monuments or the temple complexes. Alternatively peddle at your own pace along some of the hidden trails to the rarely visited rural villages where you will see the warm smiles of locals living the preserved, traditional and simple life (on the verge of poverty, long forgotten in the post industrial cultures of the world), that is the style of Nepal.
