River Rafting & Tubing RAFTING TOUR

Rafting is to descend the river in rafts pneumatic (RAFS). This exciting sport does not need prior experience on the track for beginners. Generally departures involve more than a pond; in these cases there is a group leader who coordinates all actions.
The rafting is a team sport in which all crew members of the rafts row and directed in a coordinated way to go fast.

Kayaking & Canoeing KAYAK TOUR

Paddling from the Beach House along the jagged cliffs offers great views. It is the perfect way to see all the nice Salvadorian style beach houses that sit on the cliffs. Perhaps checking the surfers up close, snorkeling, or trying to fish off the kayaks is more your style. The experience lasts anywhere between 2 and 4 hours. The perfect season for kayaking is in the months of November to March, when the southwest swells are soft and the tide level is extremely low. Kayaking in any other month has to be done with caution and we strongly recommend a local guide.

Volcano Tours VOLCANO ADVENTURE

Ilamatepec Volcano
Also known as the Santa Ana Volcano, El Salvador's highest volcano, is a massive stratovolcano immediately west of Coatepeque caldera. Collapse of the volcano during the late Pleistocene or early Holocene produced a massive debris avalanche that swept into the Pacific, forming the Acajutla Peninsula. Reconstruction of the volcano rapidly filled the collapse scarp.

The broad summit of the volcano is cut by several crescent craters, and a series of parasitic vents and cones have formed along a 20-km-long fissure system that extends from near the town of Chalchuapa.

Izalco Volcano – Lighthouse Of The Pacific
Located in the department of Sonsonate, the Volcano of Izalco rises to a height of 1910 MASL. It was baptized as the "Lighthouse of the Pacific" by the sailors travelling from North to South America, as its lava explosions and rivers could be observed from several miles offshore when it was active between 1945 and 1965.

Its perfect conic figure and its relatively smooth surface make this volcano an easy one to climb. Anyone can climb it in an average time of 1 hour and a half, and come down from it in less than 30 minutes, as its surface allows you to slide with each step you take. Its crater is 25 to 40 meters deep and has a diameter of 275 meters. The view from the crater is outstanding, with a view of the Pacific coast, the Santa Ana Volcano, the mountain ranges of Guatemala/Honduras and the cities of Izalco, Sonsonate and even San Salvador.

Forest & Rainforest Tours RAIN FOREST TOUR

Departing from the lodging place at 6:30 a.m. This adventure will take us to the department of Ahuachapán where El Imposible National Park (110 km west of San Salvador) is located. El Imposible is part of the mountain range Apaneca - Ilamatepec. We will visit the Viewpoint of La Mula (the Mule); we will descend towards the heart of the park to see the petro engravings of the Piedra Sellada (Sealed Stone and there in the middle of the forest we will bathe in pozas of crystalline water that forms in the Venado River.

You will get to know the natural area which is protected; it has a great biological diversity of the country and is a refuge of world-wide species in danger of extinction worldwide. Is located at the South of the department of Ahuachapán on the mountain range of Apaneca, which its height oscillates between the 350 to the 1250 meters above the sea level. The forest receives the name of Impossible, due to its difficult access thru the mountain. It has a diversity of arboreal species much greater than any other forest of El Salvador; in addition, some species are not to be found in any other habitat of the country. It is possible to consider that this forest is par excellence; with escarped cliffs, alternating with their sources or births of crystalline water, wooded slopes and gorges; becomes a precious virgin earth in which have been locked in, like a last refuge where a good number of animals and exotic plants that were plentiful at other habitats in El Salvador a couple of centuries ago. Many species of the wild life find a place not simply where to still live, but more important a place that offers suitable conditions to reproduce and to maintain its populations. Within the fauna that the park has we can mention great species as an eagles, great pajuils, sparrow hawks, pumas, small tigers, anteaters, snake bell, etc. The long walk within the park lasts 5 hours approximately.

Within a small area around Chalchuapa, in eastern San Miguel, are five pre-Hispanic ceremonial centers: Tazumal, Las Victorias, Pampe, Casa Blanca and El Trapiche. The principal site is Tazumal, “place of many lakes” in Nahuatl. It features an ancient ball court and a 30-m-high pyramid inside which archaeologists discovered 24 Classic-period tombs and 320 ceramic vessels. The nearby palace was the burial ground for Tazumal’s ancient rulers.

Las Victorias is significant for its Olmec-style stone carvings which point to interregional trade and cultural links with groups from the Gulf of Mexico. The entire area was a key cultural center between 300 B.C. and 1200 A.D

hankfully, along came Yoga with its lessons for life.

The word Yoga is derived from the root “Yujir Yogey”, which means to yoke, to unite, to join or to put together. So, essentially, Yoga is about union. Roughly translated away from common parlance it means harmonization. Yoga has to do with bringing about harmony of all the different parts of the body, the microcosms of the body with the macrocosm as well as a sense of balance and harmony between body and mind.

Joya de Ceren, one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in Mesoamerica in several decades. Although the Maya World is replete with grand ceremonial centers erected by the elates of Classic and Post-Classic periods, Joya de Ceren is the best-Known example of an ancient farming community. Farmers constituted the majority of the population, raising crops to feed their families, the nobility and priest class, and providing a labor pool to be tapped for the construction of temples in ceremonial centers.

Roughly 1,400 years ago, a explosion from the nearby Laguna Caldera volcano ended the dreams of immigrants who had come there to cultivate the soil enriched by the Ilopango eruption a few centuries earlier. Preserved by 20 feet of volcanic ash, this canton of farmers is often called “The Pompeii of the Americas.” The excavation began in earnest as recently as 1989, and visitors can get a feel for a genuine anthropological work-in-progress, as new discoveries continue to be made.
