Traditional Cam Nam Tour

During the Traditional Cam Nam Tour you will see the local life on Cam Nam Island, one of the islands in the delta of the Thu Bon River. In about 2 hours you will get a good impression of the local workshops and the traditional and daily life of the people on Cam Nam Island. There is much to be seen: a shipyard, local people who are making baskets, rice paper, cooking fish, carving wood, making shoes and more!



Cam Nam Island is known for her many Areca palmtrees. On this tree the 'Betel'nut grows. Elderly Vietnamese ladies are chewing on this nut to get 'beautiful' red/black teeth. It is a custom for grooms to give this nut to their future mother-in-law on their wedding day.

It is possible to make a boat trip with locals from the 'Ba Tro Bridge' through an idyllic creek in a small rowing boat. This creek is surrounded by water coconut palm trees. It's a wonderful tour which is easy to do for everyone!

During the Vietnam Life Tour you will see all aspects of the countryside life of the Vietnamese around Hoi An. You will visit Cam Nam Island, cycle along 'waterways' which are dence grown with watercoconut trees and ride between rice fields and shrinp farms.


First you will visit the picturesque Cam Nam Island, with her richness in local handicrafts. Here you can find locals who are: making rice paper, cooking fish, carving wood, washing shells making shoes, cooking corn and more! There is also a colorful shipyard which you will visit.

After a coffee break we continue the tour along beautiful 'waterways'. Here you can still see the unspoiled Vietnamese countyside life.The last part of the tour you ride between ricefields, shrimpfarms and small alley’s.
