Baños is a city of adrenaline, ecotourism and
adventure. Located in the skirt of the Tungurahua
volcano, this is an exciting and safe destination that
holds an incredible variety of activities. Take a chiva
ride to the volcano at night, do some rafting,
canyoning or swing jumping. Or take a hike through
the most beautiful waterfalls in the country, take a
splash on the rivers or hike in the cloud forest. Baños
is a magical place.

This tour is designed for those who enjoy nature in its purest state. The Reventador volcano is one of the active volcanoes in Ecuador and it had its last important eruption on 2005. It’s surrounded by waterfalls, including the highest one in the country: The San Rafael waterfall with an outstanding drop of 160mts, this is one of our favorite destinations. We can camp on the viewpoint, or rest in the Hosteria to start the ascent to the first shelter and observe the dried up lava from past eruptions. It is a hike where the jungle will surround us with all its beauty. On the next day we can climb up to the top, or rest in the dry lava flows from past eruptions until we start the descent to the Hosteria. After a well deserved rest, we will depart to Quito, but not without visiting the famous thermal baths of Papallacta.

Otavalo community tourism

Our Otavalo experience starts early in the morning. We travel from Quito and first stop in a traditional "bizcocho" bakery and enjoy the traditional bread sticks. We continue onto Otavalo to visit the world famous arts and crafts market at "Poncho Plaza." Afterwards, we visit the Mals family home where we will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared by Estela our hostess.
After lunch we will appreciate a beautiful folkloric dance show. And at the end we will watch a Shaman perform a traditional act of healing.
This tour involves over 40 members of the small Iluman community located 5 minutes away from Otavalo. Our hosts are small handicraft producers and incredible people!

In this tour we will approach Quito from a mystical angle. We will visit the most preserved historical center in Latin America, in the quietness of a Noche Quiteña (Quito night) and admiring its beautiful churches and the cultural heritage this city has to offer. We start our tour on the Independence plaza, continuing to La Ronda neighborhood. We finally head for the Itchimbia, to enjoy a nice cup of coffee with a perfect view of the historical center at night.
