Walking Tour 1: Splendor of Recife
A morning tour visiting some of the most spectacular and important monuments, parks and buildings in the city including palaces, convents and theatres , some dating back to the 17th century. They included the works of great designers, architects and engineers from Brazil and Europe.
Walking Tour 5: Olinda
A full-day tour of the historic city of Olinda included on UNESCO´s Cultural Heritage of Humanity List since 1982. Founded in 1537 Olinda was one of the very first economic and cultural centres in the country. Our tour will take a gentle stroll around all the most important sites during the morning before stopping for a well earned rest and leisurely lunch at the award winning restaurant Oficina de Sabor. The afternoon will continue with an even more leisurely amble around the remaining sights before finishing at the city summit where traditional gifts and street foods can be enjoyed as snacks, including the famous tapioca pancakes. Founded in 1537 Olinda was one of the very first economic and cultural centres in the country. Walking Tour 4: Recife Antigo
An afternoon tour visiting the old bonded customs house now home to shopping centre Paço da Alfândega. Close by is the 17th Century church. The tour will continue through the cobbles stone streets of the area to the Malakoff Tower, an old observatory that now hosts cultural events and exhibitions. Nearby are excavations showing structures from the Dutch period as an open air museum. Next the tour will enter Rua Bom Jesus, formerly known as Jewish Street, home to the oldest synagogue in the Americas. Finally the tour will stop in Praça do Marco Zero the Zero Point from which distanced to all other cities in Brazil are measured. From here there is a view of the port side and the sculpture park of on of the cities most important artists Francisco Brennand, established to commemorate the new millennium in 2000.
Walking Tour 3: Commerce & Catholicism
A morning tour visiting important churches on route to the city museum which is housed in a fortress built by the Dutch in 1630 to protect the growing commerce in the port of Recife. The tour will then visit Mercade de São José, one of the oldest public markets in Brazil where fish, meat, fruit & Vegetables are sold alongside herbs & spices, nuts, flowers and just about any other household item imaginable. There is also a large selection of art & crafts, souvenirs and lace.

An afternoon tour beginning in Praça da Independência (Independence Square) before visiting nearby churches and a basilica dating back to the 17th Century. We will then go on to the monument of Joaquim Nabuco, who campaigned to end slavery, and then to a former prison house, now centre for arts and crafts. The tour will end in a historic cobblestone church courtyard, now a lively nightspot with bars that serve regional cuisine.
