| About me: | I am an English man, living here in Bulgaria. My wife and I live in the middle of the country at the foothills of the Central Balkan Mountains. We consider ourselves very lucky in finding this beautiful area of the world to live in. Not only are our local village people wonderful, but we are close to prosperous towns and not far from the old capital, Veliko Tarnovo, which has lots of tourist attractions and big shops. We try and live like the Bulgarians, in that we grow as much fresh food as we can and of couse we take part in all the village and local events (we have lots) which has helped us to be accepted by our village. We were also the first English living here, before Bulgaria joined the E.U. and are enjoying the many small changes beginning to take place here, such as new dustbins and street lights. Small things which make a big difference. Having family scattered around the world, we are of a mature age, but with a young outlook on life. We love travelling and exploring new places, new ideas and new sights. We are living the adventure that is missing in the UK. |
