| My motto: | We take things personal |
| About me: | The European Alps, Normandy Beaches, old Dutch towns..... our 'specialty'. Rest of Europe? No problem. I am François A. ‘Navman’ Dumas, born in 1952 in Hoorn, The Netherlands, and married to Nina (Elena) Cinca after visiting Romania on an adventurous holiday, driving a rambling old minivan! I battled the Communists for 18 months to get her out ! We have one daughter, Vivian, who left the nest already and travels as much as her father used to do. I speak 5 languages more or less fluently, with English being my primary language for the past 20+ years, Dutch, German, French and Romanian added to it. And I get along in Italy, Spain and Scandinavia. All that really helps in getting local contacts and help solve any problems ! I have been traveling all my life, since I was 3, and know many places in Europe intimately. Although we still live in Holland, we also have a home in France and friends in just about every country/state in Europe and the US. We'll take customers to guide through Europe, but only for our mutual pleasure and on a relaxed and laid back basis. No stress ! |

Activities I can help with:
EuropeRides.com
We do customized, private motor cycle tours through various European countries, specializing on Normandy, France (D-Day history), Alps (France and Italy primary, Switzerland and Austria secondary) and Netherlands. The service was set up for US riders, helping them with 'technique', traffic differences, navigation and above all 'language', but we often help travelers in other ways as well (finding lodging, informing about pricing of various activities, helping organize transport). This is NOT our main activity, so we tend to be very 'personal' in our services and may sometimes have to inform you that we do not have the time left to serve you.
