Iroquois Amphitheater

Falls of the Ohio State Park provides a great view of Louisville. While there, visitors can also explore the 390-milllion-year-old Devonian fossil beds, take a hike on the short walking path, learn about the area's geological history at the interpretive center, and finish the visit with a picnic. The road leading to the interpretive center also has some spots with good views of the city.

Feed the birds nectar at Lorikeet Landing, pet a wallaby or wallaroo (and learn the difference) in the Wallaroo Walkabout, and watch the seal and sea lion training demonstrations at Glacier Run. And if watching a giraffe bend and twist itself over a fence to munch on green leaves isn't enough entertainment, check out the splash park (open seasonally), playgrounds, carousel or the ultimate adventure zone, which includes a zip line and climbing wall.
