Castro Theatre
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
Located in the Castro district of San Francisco, the Castro Theatre is one of the last remaining single-screen theatres in the Bay Area. Apart from its historical value, the theatre mixes up their fare, mainstream movies but places their emphasis on vintage or classic movies...many of them shot in San Francisco It is always the site for premiere of either locally produced movies or movies featuring events from San Francisco. It's at the end of the Muni F-Line trolley and is set in a neighborhood with a huge selection of terrific restaurants and nightclubs.

AT&T Park
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
AT&T Park is one of the most beautiful baseball parks in the country. Here is where the San Francisco Giants play visiting teams right at the edge of the Bay before up to 45,000 fans. The park, which features gourmet food, as well as typical stadium fare, features a fabulous children's area, spectaculars views of the Bay and even walk up and watch areas. Parking is at a premium because this is one park where you can come by public transportation...including the ferry! It is located in the emerging South Beach area of the City at 3rd & King. Tours are available and the park is used during the off-season as a venue for concert and corporate parties.

It is majestic. You can drive around and check out many spots in the valley as well as on the north and south rims. My favorite hikes are Taft Point and Sentinel Dome. Don't forget to stop at Glacier Point. This place will take your breadth away.

Monterey Bay Aquarium Info
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is world renown for presenting an glorious array of sea animals, some in their own habitats, such as the charming sea otters. Located at water's edge on Cannery Row in Monterey, just two and a half hours south of San Francisco, this "must see" aquarium sets the bar for quality in presentation of exhibits for all ages. One of the major draws of this lovely place is the jelly fish exhibits which were presented in conjunction with the magnificent work of Dale Chihuym the famed glass artist. Before or after a visit to the aquarium you can stroll down Cannery Row, made famous by John Steinbeck and dine at any one of a number of restaurants. As you are not far from Carmel it would be worth your while to visit this charming village as well!

Horatius
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
Horatius is a multi-purpose cafe. With free wi-fi, you'll find the nearby tech folks of Portrero snagging a table and throwing impromptu business meetings. They serve Ritual coffee, so you can't go wrong there. There are also occasional cooking classes and wine tastings, check their site for schedules. They also have a limited lunch menu which is pretty appetizing - a little pricey, but well worth it especially with the free wi-fi.

Philz Coffee
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
With several locations in San Francisco, my favorite is the one on Berry and 4th streets. This is not your ordinary coffee shop though...they brew each individual cup at the time you order it. No lattes, cappuccinos, or fancy espressos here, just organic blends of the best coffee beans money can buy, mixed by professionals to create amazingly aromatic cups of joe. Grab a cup and have a walk along Mission Creek towards the ballpark for a relaxing morning.

Hotel Del Coronado
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
This can be a romantic getaway if you can afford a splurge this is the place to do it. There is fine dining, snacks on the patio and access to a world famous beach. There are wonderful boutiques with everything from shoes to great skin lotions and clothes. Parking is provided IF you stay in hotel. It can be a fun place to visit for the family as well, but I would stay in less pricey hotel. This hotel is historically the site of several movies and they are aware of and protect their heiritage and ambiance. I just like strolling around the grounds and stopping for lunch. A final stop at the famous ice cream store and then I am ready to go home or to see the rest of sights in Coronado.

Sunflower Authentic Vietnamese
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
Sunflower is cheap, beyond yummy and authentic Vietnamese food. The restaurant has two locations - one in the mission on Valencia and one in Potrero Hill. The Potrero Hill outpost is a slightly classier joint, but the food is of the same caliber in both. And that caliber is "awesome." The portions are generous, and one could easily make two meals out of their famous vermicelli bowls (unless one is like me and can't stop eating because it's so delicious).
