Bishop Museum
6 Recommendations: 5 Favorable, 1 Critical
This is the true historical record of the Hawaiians. It is not the published version of the Hawaii Visitors Bureau and other attractions. I used to come here as a child and spent some summer programs learning about how the hawaiians lived. I also spent some time with a curator who taught me about the sea llife on our reefs. The native fish, shells, and wildlife. There is also a Planetarium at the museum with shows nightly. Let me know if anyone wants to find out how the hawaiians navigated the ocean.

'Iolani Palace
5 Recommendations: 5 Favorable,
Call a day or two before you go and make a reservation for one of the $20 guided morning tours. Our docent was very informative and even sang some Hawaiian songs and chants. It's wonderful how the palace is being restored after coming so close to being torn down. Make sure you leave enough time if you take the bus. The #2, 13 or City B bus will all get you there but it can take 45 minutes from Waikiki with frequent stops and traffic. Don't bring a big bag or purse and unfortunately pictures are not allowed inside. There are also many other attractions and museums in the immediate area that are worth a look.

There is no doubt that Niagara Falls IS one of the wonders of the world. The state park on the American Side in New York State is the oldest in the nation, founded in the 1860s. The views from Goat Island and Three Sisters Islands are breathtaking. Harry Houdini, Marilyn Monroe and more made movies there. (All featured in the Buffalo International Film Festival's Movie Tour). Don't miss this!
