Table Mountain, Cape Town
9 Recommendations: 9 Favorable,
Here's hoping you're not nervous about heights. I'm not really, but going up the last very steep bit in the cable car and watching the cliff go by did give me a bit of a strange feeling! This is a popular destination, you'll line up for a while to get on the car. Be prepared for it to be quite cool when you are up on top, but enjoy the spectacular scenery spread out below you. The view of Cape town, the ocean, the other mountains close by is simply breath-taking. You can take quite a bit of a walk around, shop for souvenirs, get a drink and just soak up the beauty of nature.

Victoria & Alfred Waterfront
7 Recommendations: 7 Favorable,
The V & A Waterfront is a well known tourist spot. It has a wide range of shops & restaurants to choose from and an outdoor auditorium for shows & theatre. Enjoy your breakfast or lunch outside under the trees. Visit the Nelson Mandela Museum close to the Clock Tower Precinct or pop in at the shopping centre there too. There are benches where you can sit while feeding the seagulls or checking out the boats coming in/out the lock there. There are seals that swim in and out as well and will also swim alongside the boat that takes you out to Robbin Island to visit the famous jail there where Mandela & other politic prisoners were held during the apartheid. There are lots of things to do that you can pack into one day. Don't miss this!

A city in a city. Thats Gold reef city for you. Name derived from the mines in a city that was founded on gold mines, Johhannesburg. A wonderful attraction to those visiting South Africa for site seeing or shopping, you will be amazed at what they have done with the place. Your arrival to the city will capture you as it reminds you of a kingdom, a palace or a place where the kings and queens used to reside. Things havent changed much from those days coz if you feel like royalty, this should be the place for you. Wine and dine like a queen, shop till you drop and enjoy the major activities ranging from massages in a tru african style. Watch a movie, a perfomance or simply play a sport with your friends and a cold one by your side. Built in Pentagonian style, the Castle of Good Hope is the second oldest completed building in Cape Town. Built bewteen 1666 and 1679 to protect it's inhabitants, not a single shot was ever fired from here. It houses the William Fehr Collection and paintings by Thomas Baines. Still today, it is the headquarters for the Western Cape military command and if you arrive shortly before noon, you can witness the "handing over of the key" ceremony.
