The Old City (Casco Viejo)

One of my favorite places in Panama, Casco Viejo. A great place to come around 5 in the afternoon. Sip a Mojito or a cold local beer watch the life sunset and the city lights begin to twinkle in the distance. Great food and nightlife abound in this area! Highlight Manolo Caracol and leave room for some Gelato a block away!

This is the places to be seen shopping.. a little pricey, but there are some good shops and restaurants. Tourists get discounts, anyone can enjoy a movie and at night there are restaurants that are getting better and better reviews! Enjoy

Canal House

The Canal House is one of the best boutique hotels in Panama City. Located in Casco Viejo, the old quarter of Panama, this small colonial house has all the charm you could ask for. The hotel is small, only 3 rooms, which can be rented individually or the whole house can be rented as well. When the Quantum of Solace (James Bond movie) was filmed in Casco Viejo Daniel Craig (James Bond) stayed in this hotel for over a month. You can expect of this hotel super personal attention and detail. Highly recommended for romantic occasions. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but at request they can make cocktails or dinners if you wish to entertain. Gatun Lake

Lake Gatun is a great place to spend a day or more.. We visit 2 totally different parts of the lake to go fishing, peacock bass!! You can kayak, birdwatch, water ski, watch the ships transit the canal or head to one of the indian villages nestled on the shores of the lake. A canal transit also gets you out on the water!

Cerro Ancón

Cerro Ancón or Ancon Hill is the highest mountain in Panama city area with spectacular view over the city. You can walk to the top by two sides or go up by car. Cerro Ancón was part of former US Canal Zone Area that reverted to the people of Panama by the 31st of Decembar 1999; after Omar Torrijos and Jimmy Carter signed a new treaty on 1977.
