Majorelle
19 Recommendations: 19 Favorable,
The Museum of Islamic Art is situated in the original studio of the French painter Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962) in the wonderful garden created by the painter and open to the public. It exhibits the personal collection of fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé who are the present owners of the building. The collection consists of carpets, pottery, jewelry, furniture and ancient doors from various countries. One room is specially dedicated to Majorelle's engravings and paintings depicting the Moroccan landscape. But the real reason to visit are the beautiful gardens. They first opened to public in 1947 and feature a fabulous array of plants from various countries. This wonderful botanical garden, with its big cactus, palm-trees, and bamboos is a true beauty and its colors harmonize with the famous deep blue chosen by Majorelle for his studio's façade. This museum opens daily at 8am.

jamaa el fna
8 Recommendations: 8 Favorable,
A popular sight in Marrakech. Has to be seen-but maybe once is enough. Having known the place since the 1960's, it is sad to notice that it has become a mere attraction for cheesy tourism. The Square has, since the mid-eighties, lost its cultural side(book sellers, true story tellers, stand-up comic shows, authentic folk music). Due to the misleading info found in guidebooks and travel brochures, the Square became a "market" for junk souvenirs and trinkets, a forum for professional beggars and tourists' scams. Its essential beauty and socio-cultural interest are reduced to a mere exotic digital camera shot. Two important DO NOTS: 1- Do not miss the drag-queens show starting from 6pm and on near Café Argana 2- Do not drink orange juice from those stalls as the oranges remain exposed to the sun for hours if not days before they're squeezed.

Tour Hassan
6 Recommendations: 6 Favorable,
This is the nicest hotel in Rabat with an beautiful courtyard. Actually, the most romantic place to stay in actually not in a hotel, but a riad. You can use the site riadrevews.com to find a great riad. However, among hotels, this is the nicest hotel and the most romantic. It has two inner pools and a beautiful courtyard with wonderful places to sit.

Marrakesh
5 Recommendations: 5 Favorable,
Marrakech is a city in the grip of a delirious imagination. A feverish dreamscape of honeycombed alleys and minarets quivering in the moonlight and haunted by the restless creatures of a visionary carnival that has lasted for a thousand years and shows no sign of stopping now. Marrakech is one of the worlds enchanted places where time becomes suspended and, through its open door, you catch a glimpse of the past so rich and so remote and yet so palpable.

Hôtel Sofitel Agadir Hotel
5 Recommendations: 5 Favorable,
This sleek and chic resort is a good mix of traditional architecture with some classy touches. The low-rise kasbah has a grand entrance -- 10m-high (33-ft.) wood doors and oversize, rooftop Moroccan lanterns -- and it doesn't disappoint once inside, either. A courtyard of sandstone, marble, zellij, and tabout-rendered (rammed earth) walls houses a lounge of plush velvet chairs. Though the hotel has more than 270 rooms and suites, one doesn't feel cramped when staying here except within the rooms themselves, which for the most part are on the small side. It's worth paying more for the rooms with a balcony for the extra space. The resort has four restaurants, six bars -- including a cigar and cognac lounge -- and a beautifully designed and landscaped pool. King-size, four-poster sun beds and oversize hammocks add a luxuriant touch. A wood path through palms and succulents leads to the private beach where you'll find more sun beds, a watersports center, and a small, well-kept horse stable (2-hr. rides cost 350dh/$44/£22).

Kasbah des Oudaïa
5 Recommendations: 5 Favorable,
The Kasbah des Oudaia is a picturesque place with houses and streets that are of a different standard to the rest of the city. All the houses are white and look like they have just been painted with bright blue parapets. The Kasbah des Oudaia provides you with the most amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean and of Sale, Rabat's neighboring city. This part of city is quiet and there are relatively few people walking around the maze of streets. This makes exploring the northern parts of the city a lot more fun.
