Willem Pretorius Game Reserve

2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,

Many different species of African game can be observed in the park, including rhino and large herds of buffalo. Particularly impressive are the giraffes, which can be seen majestically striding over the wide plains in the light of the setting sun. The reserve is popular with weekenders from Johannesburg. Accommodation and holiday facilities are excellent.

Morija

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

This is the place of FIRSTS: First printing press, first Museum, first cultural centre, etc. It is an eventful place, centre of Morija Arts and Cultural Festival which comes at the end of October this year. The Museum possesses a wonderful history of the country and more importantly it is the centre of documented history of the country from King Moshoeshoe 1 down to the current situation. Enroute to Morija, one can visit the rural palace in Matsieng, home of King Letsie 1 and his family. It tells the full story with all the houses built around the area.

Nice building overlooking Maseru City, towering above Lesotho Sun Hotel, with the surrounding mountains forming a worthy background. Housing estate developing below the hill. Completed early 2010. It is a structure built with local materials, portraying the beauty of the Mountain Kingdom sandstone at its best. It is appropriately placed a couple of meters from the 4 star Lesotho Sun Hotel for dignitaries and leisure tourists alike.

Maseru Golf Club

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

Fantastic 9 hole golf course. Home of the annual Mohokare Classic tournament. Located next to some good restaurants, hotels, lodges, and other good accommodation facilities. Because of the good sunshine experience (more than 300 days of sunshine a year) and good rains in the recent years, it has turned out to be one of the best golf grounds in the region.
