In Sigulda you can catch calm and simple lifestyle of Latvians. City is very nice at summer and autumn. Forest, old castles, parks, great restaurants with traditional Latvian food ;) You need to see it if you are planning to visit Latvia.

Lido (Krasta)
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
This is tourists must see place. A huge complex with food and entertainment. The food is local and they also have good beer - Uzhavas. This restaurant is self-service, so you walk around and ask to put anything you find tasty. Afterwards you can try some outdoor activities. During the winter time Lido opens skating open-air hall. You can rent skates there. There is also a small market with local souvenirs.

Hotel Bergs Rīga
5 Recommendations: 4 Favorable, 1 Critical
Good coffee, strong, well-served, with lots of hand-made chocolate available with it. Pleasant setting, in a style of pre-war Riga... If you order hot chocolate, it will be thick melted chocolate in a cup, eaten with a spoon and comes with a glass of water. Delicious! If you opt for ordinary hot chocolate, ask or kakao (cocoa) :)

Rama
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
Rama offers a wide array of vegetarian Indian dishes, though everything seems to be remarkably cheap compared to the former. The restaurant is actually a part of a Hare Krishna centre, and downstairs you can find a cellar shop selling Krishna jewelry and clothing, so you can fully get your Krishna on.

Rozengrals
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
This place is worth for visiting and having a cup of coffee, certainly. Price is typical old Riga level, but visitors are not going there because of "outlet-pricing". Athmosphere and interior are The Thing. Food is maybe not the very best nor special tasty. Nothing special. I suggest go for coffee and get an experience.

ESPA Riga
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
perfect place for relaxation. exellent service! ESPA Rīga is situated at the very heart of Riga in a Art Nouveau building designed at the end of the 19th century by the famous Latvian architect Konstantīns Pēkšēns. The interior of the building, which adjoins the Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija, is notable for its originality in uniting modern interior design with the period features of the historic building. The standout features of the ESPA Rīga premises are its spiral staircase, tiled with a mosaic of black crystal and gold and beautiful lighting sculpture from the renowned designer Eva Menz. The six floor spa has been uniquely tailored to provide a genuinely holistic and restorative experience for each guest and member.

Freedom Monument
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
A monument dedicated to Latvian struggle for independence through centuries, built in 1935, ironically - only 5 years before it got occupied again. Excellent for its idea and various groups of sculptures telling the story of values, history and mythology of the Latvian nation.
