Szimpla Kert
7 Recommendations: 7 Favorable,
This was the first ruin pub in Budapest. It used to be an old cinema created on the inner courtyard of a typical downtown building in Pest. The place attracts not only locals but nowadays also young tourists because of the original atmoshpere. Highly recommended!

This vegetarian restaurant is almost in the city center. The place is quiet and friendly. You can choose from various green food (like pizza, dessert, etc.) and there is also daily changing menu at cheaper price. Take a map or GPS so you won't get lost in the narrow streets.

A 38-as Állóhajó
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
If you want to hear live underground music (at least for me it is underground) you have to visit (standing) boat A38. It is next to the Petőfi bridge at the Buda side. I think the music genre is various: metal, jazz, pop, house, ambient, etc. The type of the soviet boat is Artemovszk 38, built in 1968 and used for stone shipping. If you like non-commercial places you have board quick.

It contains exhibits related to the fascist and communist dictatorial regimes in 20th century Hungary and is also a memorial to the victims of these regimes, including those detained, interrogated, tortured or killed in the building. With regard to communism and fascism, the exhibition contains material on the nation's relationships to Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. It also contains exhibits related to Hungarian organisations such as the fascist Arrow Cross Party and the communist ÁVH (which was similar to the Soviet Union KGB secret police). Part of the exhibition takes visitors to the basement, where they can see examples of the cells that the ÁVH used to break the will of their prisoners.

Dohány Street Synagogue
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
The second largest synagogue of the world. Both cultural and religious sight. Breathtaking ! The synagogue is 75m long and 27m wide,[3] and was built between 1854 and 1859 in the Moorish Revival style, based chiefly on Moorish models from North Africa and Spain (the Alhambra),[4] according to a plan by German Ludwig Förster, with interior design partly by Frigyes Feszl. Theodore Herzl's house of birth was next to the Dohány street Synagogue. In the place of his house stands the Jewish Museum, which holds the Jewish Religious and Historical Collection, built in 1930 in accordance with the synagogue's architectural style and attached in 1931 to the main building.
