Cafeneon Ermis
1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,
The best place for ouzo and mezedes is the Cafeneon O Ermis which is in the city on Ermou Street which is the main road between the old and new harbor. You can ask anyone where it is because it has been around for a hundred years or so. It has one of the largest selections of ouzo on the island and probably the best variety of mezedes and main dishes. I highly recommend this place.

Ermou, Mytilini 81100
1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,
The Ermou entrance to the market is a height for the senses as one enters to take you back in time. The sounds and smells help one understand even if you don't understand the language. People in market are there everyday selling all goods and produce from all over the island. The market gets quite large if one includes the side roads and corners with fresh fruits and vegetables.

But his work was recognized after his death and nationally his work be found on walls and in hidden panels as he would paint for meal and travels. Today each piece is worth more not only monterey but information in local life and farming techniques.

And walking in the castle in the day time shows the size and how the walls protected the harbor in the past. One can imagine when spend even time amongst the walls

Didim
1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,
If you are thinking of travelling to Didim in Tukrye it is a lovely resort we have stayed there 3 times however I do have to suggest that you look to go there on an all inclusive holiday. The price of an all inclusive holiday is not much more than half board but you can use the buffet style food and all the drinks available during the days which makes a great help. I have found a website that speclaises in all inclusive at http://www.bestallinclusiveholidays.co.uk
