It is a "must-be seen" attraction in Guayaquil. Whether you go during day or night time, it will amaze you! While climbing up, you can count stairs with the useful tags on stairs. In the morning, you can have a wonderful view of the city and river. In the evening, bars are opened for karaoke, drinks, dance and live music! Outside each house, there's a photo of it before its remodeling: old pictures (black & white) that bring back the pace of those past years. Enough security guards...safe tourist area

Great place to watch any kind of sports, specially the most popular of all in Ecuador, futbol-soccer. You can watch me most important matches from all around the world, also this worldcup in south Africa 2010, starting June 11 and during a whole month. You can eat many different dishes, drink... just a great place to enjoy sports.

Otavalo

Otavalo is considered the biggest market of artesanies in the whole american continent. Here you will find greatest varieties of artesanies, all hand maded, from t-shirts to ceramic vessels and paintings. Every product is of great quality and not expensive at all. Otavalo city is at 2 hours by bus from Quito, many buses depart in the day from the Terminal Terrestre de Quito and you can also get your bus in the Panamericana road where they stop to take passengers. Don't forget to visit the Cascada Peguche, you will love it!

Teleferico Quito

Another classic spot for killer views of Quito is the Teleferico. Take a 10min ride up in the 6 person carriage from 2,950 meters up to 4,050 meters of altitude. It costs around $8/person. At the top you can take it easy by just strolling around enjoying the views from the watch station, grab a bite at one of the cafes or check out the gift shops (but keep in mind like most tourist hot spots things are a little overpriced there), or if you're in shape and somewhat acclimatised to Quito's altitude try taking a little hike up the hill for more views and a closer look at the mountains, you can even take a horseback tour and make a day of it. It's worth it to feel on top of the world for a day!

In las peñas, you'll find a lot of places for having fun, there is a mixture of the old and the new city... near las Peñas is also the Colon Plaza the oldest chruch in Guayaquil is located here and the fireman museum... have fun

El Panecillo, Quito

Nice place and nice view, 360º of Quito and if the clouds allow you can see Pichinchas, Cayambe, Antisana, Atacazo volcanoes that are in the horizon. The Panecillo hill was an important pre-Inca religous site, from here the Quitu Caras had different rites in honor of the sun or to the moon, and also diffent human sacrifies in honor of them, also, there was an important gold ware house because thet didn't thought like the white people, they thought that the gold was a gift of the sun, so there were million of gold pieces here, that were stolen when the Spaniers were in Ecuador. Now days, we have one big alluminium statue that was builted in 1978 by the oblats religeous order, this Virgin called "Virgen de Quito" or "Virgen de la Apolipsis" is very well appreciated by different tourist and in the site if you wanna, you can do some shopping of Ecuadorian handicrafts too

Parque Historico de Guayaquil

A must seen in Guayaquil and in my humble opinion the best zoo of Ecuador. The second part with the reconstructed bildings is interesting but there is not much to do except listening to the guides and imagine how people live during that time. My favourite part is the custom site. It has a poor farmer house where you will always be welcome and the rich farmer house which you are also welcome but the greetings are not as warm as in the first house. I love to go on Sunday so I could see the play with tradicional characters.

Ingapirca

Ingapirca (meaning Wall of the Inca), was constructed as an inn for Incan couriers and other travellers,build in the style of Coricancha, the main temple of Cuzco. The ruins of Ingapirca are made of green diorite. Even though this ruins don't have the colossal dimensions of Cuzco, Ingapirca is, however, a direct testimony of how the Incas lived, their mechanisms of defense and integration of other ancient constructions. Take a jacket with you because it´s windy and cold!!!

The Plaza Foch is a place where the tourist people feels really nice because around you can find pubs, restaurants, bars you can enjoy a night life every day you can fin something to do in this place doesn't matter if is monday or sunday the people doesnt sleep in this place.
