Because of it's placement on the coast adjacent to El Choko National Park and the very scenic foothills of the coast Range, a unique set of conditions has created an amazing beach experience. The Trade winds just offshore would not come to the crescent shaped beach if the foothills were absent. Anabatic airflow which is caused by heated air rising from the foothills diverts the Trades in the early afternoon which results in a perfect side shore wind for Windsurfers and Kiters. There is also a fleet of Lasers available at the Bic Center for rent with instructors. Cabarete is a venue for the PKRA World Cup, Master of the Ocean, and various Laser Regattas. This World Class beach is available to all Visitors for free. One can pack a picnic lunch or choose from 25 different restaurants and bars to enjoy the view. For the less athletically inclined, a stroll along the shore break from town in either direction brings lots of opportunities to see whales, distant mountains and seascapes.

great dominican food at a great price. the view is amazing and its right next to the sea. it is an amazing place where you should really try a mofongo which is a a traditional platain puree made with pork and other ingredients. Also you might get the chance to see some merengue show (our national dance) and enjoy the hospitality of our people.

Its the most significant cultural point in my city. Has a museum, cafeteria, you can go up to the top and enjoy the view of the city. At night you can enjoy the fresh air and the lights of the city. This is a very hidden treasure in this country, it is an authentic fishermen cove located just a few miles below the very crowded area of punta cana, cliffs, small beaches, and fishing boats will enchant you, no large hotel nor all included tour operator deals, just the real thing

World Heritage, the Ciudad Colonial (Colonial City) was founded in 1498, since then most of the buildings are standing there like it was still the period of colonization of America. The colonial city saw born the first cathedral and first hospital of the New World. Walking through you can feel the history of the beggining of a civilization. Also you can visit the El Conde street, a pedestrian street with shops all the way through. Museums, fortress, monuments, cathedrals, parks, victorian houses, restaurants, hostal, little hotels, all you can find it in the Colonial City. In the night, the narrow streets are wrapped in the night life with the diverse place you can choose and mix with the locals in the bohemian and urban enviroment of the places of Colonial City.

Old Big House or small castle that was used for Columbus Family as home and goverment house in the spanish colony. Now is a museum, with many of the original furniture and trainned guide to show the visitor around and give a taste of the life in the Spanish Colony.
