Always warm and clear sea, with a view on the open sea, city walls and the island Lokrum attract people from around the world to the beach Banje. Most of these beaches are in fact very good, and offer a lot of additional content, to the usual calm soothing sea, warm Mediterranean sun experience such as cafe bars, restaurants, tennis courts, playgrounds, swimming pools, possibility of renting sport equipment, canoes, kayaks etc. The most popular of the Dubrovnik public beaches are Banje , Lapad bay beaches (Vis, Adriatic...) and Copacabana beach.

Neum
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
The Adriatic Sea from Split to Dubrovnik is gorgeous, very clean, and includes 22km of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The closed bay at Neum is protected from the strong open sea winds by the Peljesac Peninsula, and wonderfully calm. Tourism has returned to this place and scuba-diving, parasailing, boating and jet skiing can all readily be arranged in any of the major hotels. It all costs a little less than what it costs in Croatia. During the season, it is wise to book in advance.

Silence Apartments
2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,
A wonderful place in Zupa, in the midst of beaches full of the Mediterranean luxuriant green plants, mostly agaves, palm trees and pine trees. The old name of the place was Subbrenum, from the name of the stronghold Brenum that used to be here in the ancient times and where the inhabitants of the destroyed Epidaurum found shelter in the 7th century. Srebreno also has many remnants of old architecture, like strongholds, churches and graveyards. With its hotels and many rest-homes , apartments, Srebreno is today a highly developed tourist resort. There are also plenty opportunities of finding accomodation in private rooms. .
