Llanos de Cortes Waterfalls
7 Recommendations: 7 Favorable,
This is the best break you can have on your way to/from Liberia area, Llanos de Cortes is a non touristy side of the county, still very nature surroundings and a quiet place. Located only 30 minutes away from Liberia with a 5 minutes detour of the Pan hwy. An oasis on the middle of the dry forest with an evergreen scenario. Been not a private property you just need to give a contribution for the local school instead of a fee or admission, this contribution with cover the guard than take care of your vehicle while you enjoy this nature wonder.

I had the pleasure of meeting brothers Alvaro and Diego owners of Odyssey tours in Costa Rica a month ago, the quality of the service me and my family of 6 had was above what we expected for taking a little local operator, now i belive this is the way to go to get the most of your vacations getting the most of your destination, they suggestions of what to do and where to stay were also very helpful, if you are planning a trip to Costa Rica I highly recommend them, they have a lot of rave reviews on line at many popular forum sites.

Teatro Nacional
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
Definitely a must-see place, the National theater was built in the 1890's with taxes on coffee production and has been a great attraction for the locals since then. It provided a place that was up to the standards of foreign opera and theater and music groups which would visit Costa Rica. It remains in use to this day and also offers a fascianting tour experience which offers a look into the past with its decor and paintings and architectural magnificense.

Nauyaca waterfalls
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
The Nauyaca Waterfalls (Cataratas de Nauyaca), a massive double cascade tumbling down 45 meters (150 feet) and 20 meters (65 feet), are one of the most spectacular sights in Costa Rica. The waterfalls also known as BarĂș River Falls are on private property, so the only way to reach them is to take a hiking or horseback tour. Lots of wildlife and the rain forest is another most of these side of the country.

Museo Nacional de Costa Rica
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
The Museo Nacional de Costa Rica is possibly one of the best cultural museums in Costa Rica based on the way the museum has been structured or conceived by its administrators. It starts of by early man, his religion, household and utensils and his food too. From there it takes you to the arrival of the hispanics and finishes with a nice portrait of us ticos. The other exhibit is called the gold room. Here the local and foreingner can visualize why we are called Costa Rica. The next exhibit goes about showing you colonial Costa Rica and finishes inmaculately with the end of the first republic and its army and all that invokes that neocolonial era to a more contemporary Costa Rica as we know it today.

Manuel Antonio
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
Working as tour guide for the last 9 years and been many times at this piece of paradise called Manuel Antonio I have seen tons of amazed people than after visited this park of the country decide to come back again and again. For me the nicer beach of the country, calm pristine water, good snorkeling, white sand, the lush of the rain forest just by the beach, lots of animals such as monkeys, sloths, raccoons, deers, aguties, iguanas, lizards, crabs, toucans, woodpeckers, herons, docks, rail woods, potoos, hawks and more easy to spot in a 412 acres area but mostly of them are even divisible in only 1 mile hiking with a good tour guide. Don't miss this park if you come to Costa Rica.
