Victoria Peak Trail
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
The peak trail is a nice way to get in some exercise. The trail is well-marked, the walk is easy and the views are nice. Do not expect spectacular views all around though! The views at the beginning of the trail are stunning (and will save you the $30 for the viewing deck; the view really is identical). However, after 20 minutes, the remaining 40 minute walk provides little scenery other than trees and bushes. Having said that, it is a nice walk! Just make sure you start this walk with the right expectations! If you are looking for a hike, I would recommend other parts of the Hong Kong trail, which provide you with amazing city and island scenery. Please feel free to contact me for more details.

Ovologue
2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,
Situated at the historical site - the old Woo Cheong Pawn Shop, Ovologue is a nice place for a quiet chat with your friends in the early evening. Atmosphere is decent and comfy when compared to most venues in the surrounding downtown area. Serving hot and cold dishes of Sichuan Cuisine. Worth a try.

With outdoor area you can enjoy your happy hour with your mates in this crowded urban center. You can find most of the beer here and recommended to try the chilli chicken wings. You will be even more happy if you are soccer fans, the TV is showing premier league all the time.

Good for night life with beer! In day time, it is good to go there for lunch, massage etc. You can go there to explore at your own pace. At night, the place is changed. You can join with your friend and enjoy a bottle of beer or wine.

Brunch Club
2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,
The brunch club is a great place to eat, hang-out and work. You will often find local freelancers taking advantage of the comfortable couches, extensive magazine selection and great coffees. I come here regularly on my way from my home to my office and use it as a place to get work done before hitting the bustle of Central. NB: there is now a branch in Causeway Bay - see their website for further details

Hong Kong Museum of History, Kowloon
2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,
The Hong Kong Museum of History is THE place to visit for a quick and unique introduction to Hong Kong's culture, growth and development. Located in a contemporary-looking building in Tsimshatsui East, the Museum is an inexpensive way to spend a few hours and Wednesdays are free!! Within the Museum the visitor is taken through a series of stylised displays, dioramas and highly-detailed, accurately-reproduced themed period areas starting from Hong Kong back in prehistoric days and early man, to its present-day status as one of Asia's 'world cities'. These areas offer a fascinating glimpse into Hong Kong life which made the city unique. Unfortunately many of these features are quickly diappearing in the rush towards modernisation without regard for preserving heritage.

Wai Kee Ho
1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,
Go to this local market, try the delicious food which the tours will never bring you to! The Chinese woman there was taught by the Indonesian helper the way to cook the traditional Indonesia food. You should try the noodle there ... at least once in the rest of your natural life ...
