Attractions in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina (67)
Stari most
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
Even mentioning the bridge for years after it fell to the bottom of the Neretva River could invoke tears as it symbolized both the city and the country as a whole. Now, more than a decade later, the beautiful stone structure that had spanned the Neretva River for over four centuries once again arches across its raging waters. The bridge is Mostar's core and its reconstruction means that life is slowly but surely returning to normal in what is most certainly the most beautiful city in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Neum
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
The Adriatic Sea from Split to Dubrovnik is gorgeous, very clean, and includes 22km of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The closed bay at Neum is protected from the strong open sea winds by the Peljesac Peninsula, and wonderfully calm. Tourism has returned to this place and scuba-diving, parasailing, boating and jet skiing can all readily be arranged in any of the major hotels. It all costs a little less than what it costs in Croatia. During the season, it is wise to book in advance.

Museum of Herzegovina
3 Recommendations: 3 Favorable,
Museum of Herzegovina When we strolled around the old town we came across the Museum of Herzegovina and decided to give it a try. We were actually the only visitors at around lunch time. The entrance fee was only 1,50 KM. The museum exhibits all kinds of items which are related to the history of Herzegovina. Unfortunately there are no English descriptions. In the lower floor a film about Mostar before the war, the Old Bridge and the bridge jumping contest can be seen on a large screen. It includes some impressive scenes about the destruction of the bridge. Directions: The Museum of Herzegovina can be found opposite to the Clock Tower in the east part of Mostar's old town.

Stadium of HŠK Zrinjski
2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,
Bijeli Brijeg, officially name: Stadium of HŠK Zrinjski (hr: Stadion Hrvatskog športskog kluba Zrinjski) is a football stadium in the city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is currently the home of HŠK Zrinjski Mostar. It formerly served as Velež Mostar's stadium. The stadium was built in 1971 and currently has a capacity of 25.000. [1] Its name literally means "white hill". The stadium of Bijeli Brijeg is situated in the west side of the city and since the club HŠK Zrinjski Mostar was refounded by Croats in 1992, Bijeli Brijeg became the home stadium of HŠK Zrinjski Mostar. The stadium was originally Fk Velez's stadium but due to the war it was on the wrong side of the bridege therefore Zrinski took it. Zrinski has been accused of stealing the stadium and do not deserve it as all of Velez's history lies at that stadium. Some suggestions included giving half the profits to Velez so they can improve their new home. Bijeli Brijeg is the second largest stadium in Bosnia and Herzegovina after Koševo.

Its not often you stay in a hotel and a museum at the same time: this house is a Bosnian architectural treasure and comprises 8 luxury bedrooms and suites. We have traditional Bosnian rooms in Ottoman style with beautifully decorated ceilings, furniture and antiques all around you. Mostar Crooked Bridge
2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,
Surprisingly enough the Crooked Bridge (Kriva Cuprija) is older than the Old Bridge (Stari Most). The construction probably took place in 1558. The bridge was only damaged during the recent war, but then later totally destroyed by floods in the late 1990s. The reconstruction project was initiated by the UNESCO and completed in 2001. It is said that the single arch Crooked Bridge was a sort of prototype for the Old Bridge. Directions: The Crooked Bridge is located about 100 meters west of the Old Bridge on the right bank of the river Neretva. It crosses the Radoblja River, which is a tributary of the Neretva River.

Bosnian National Restaurant Hindin Han Mostar
2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,
Hindin Han. The restaurant is housed in an old Ottoman-style building just below the western approach to the old bridge, and the warm light glowing from its front windows is inviting on a cold night. A vine-covered terrace comes right to the edge of the street and the main door leads you inside from there to the exposed wood and richly patterned Turkish carpets of the restaurant itself. Downstairs was crowded and a little smoky so we headed upstairs to find another warm and inviting room with exposed beams, honey coloured walls, and chequered tablecloths. The kind of place that makes you feel at home right away. And if you’re in Mostar, you don’t want to miss out on the Hindin Han.
