Alexander Coffee begun more than 10 years ago, in a small store with only coffee and cookies, in a very amercial style coffee, now has generated the coffee mania in the country, since it became the place for meeting and gathering. Alexander has great capuccinos and the best cinamonrolls in the country, I havent met a foreigner living in La Paz that doesnt fall before its great taste and nice ambience.

Teatro Municipal
4 Recommendations: 4 Favorable,
The Teatro Municipal Alberto Saavedra Pérez has an ambitious program of folklore shows, folk-music concerts and foreign theatrical presentations. It's a great old restored building with a round auditorium, elaborate balconies and a vast ceiling mural. The newspapers and municipal tourist office have information about what's on here.

La Choperia
2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,
La Choperia is a beer bar (but not only) located in the historical center - just few blocks from the main square in La Paz - which is becoming traditional among people in town regardless their age. Its nineteenth style atmosphere is well combined with classic and contemporary music (mainly rock but also latin). The place is ordered so that it is suitable for small groups (from two - not for couples although- up to five or six, maybe not more).

Equinoccio Pub
2 Recommendations: 2 Favorable,
Equi that is how we call it here. Its a great place to listen to rock music and covers. During the forst half of the year there is a contest with bands that are nomally quite good. This is the place to discover local artists with an urban flavor. The entrance is more expensive depends on the group and how popular it is. Drinks are in good price
