Surfers Paradise QLD

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

If you're a beach bum you will love this place. Now, if you are a beach bum and a surfer dude at the same time then welcome to the SURFER'S PARADISE. The name should explain it all. Aside from spending ample exquisite time in the beach you will also find plenty of restaurants to dine. From the mostly loved fast foods to the rather upscale dinners. They have it there.

Platinum Nightclub

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

Platinum is a great place to hear DJs from around the world. Every Saturday they have a headliner which has included Kaskade, John Course, The Stafford Brothers and many other global acts. Entrance fee is minimal, certainly cheaper than going to a concert, and they don't let the place get too crowded so you can enjoy the music and drinks while you lounge or dance all night. Open Thursday through Saturday, Platinum is a classy, fun place to hear good house/techno music that isn't too hard core (read: singing!).

Offer a wide range of spa services including massage, facials, manis & pedis, tanning, etc. Right in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Splash Day Spa is great for taking a break from the kids or family and getting some relaxation without going too far from the beach.

Dracula's Cabaret Restaurant

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

Your ticket gets you a three course meal with one drink included. You have a choice for your main, usually beef, chicken or vegetarian. The bar is open for pre dinner drinks and all staff are never out of character! Get chased by a man with a chainsaw or teased by a zombie witch, it's all in a good fun and a little scary! Enjoy the cabaret show as you eat your dinner with excellent service from the staff. You can get souvenir cocktail glasses, photos or gifts from the gift shop. There is also an oxygen bar to try out. Great with a big group, Draculas is a night of laughs, shrieks and good food plus some amazing outfits and makeup. Extra drinks aren't cheap so be prepared if you plan to make a big night of it. *We had heard that customers dress up for the performance but this is not true! Wear black if you want but it's not a costume party, just so you know.

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

A giant indoor/outdoor mall with shops for everyone. Kind of a maze, you wander down the lanes named after roads in Melbourne and discover new shops around every corner. There is usually something going on in the mall and you're sure to find all your favourite places plus a couple one-offs. There is a movie theatre, arcade, kiddie train and full service restaurant. The indoor mall and food court give you a break from the sun and heat while the outdoor area makes you feel as though you're not spending the day in the mall. Near to Draculas, the Casino and Broadbeach a great cafe and night life spot, plus the beach!

Q1 Resort @ Spa

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

Take the elevator up 80 stories in 10 seconds! And see a 360 degree view of the Gold Coast. On a clear day see into the hinterland and up and down the coast. Arrows point out places such as Sydney and New York City and how far away. Plus lots of interesting facts about the building. There is a bar there and at nights turns into a chic club. A good, easy going family or couple activity to help you plan out your stay or take a break from or before activities.

Sea World

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

Seaworld has it all for me and it's really my favourite of the Gold Coast attractions. I love the dolphins and all the other ocean creatures (and the polar bears), the rides are just enough and just right for me and the extreme waterskiing show gives you a chance to relax and ooh and aahh at something you don't often see. If you're game you can also swim with the sharks here. Just as at many places like this food and drink can be a bit expensive but there's plenty of variety. Seaworld is a complete day out! http://seaworld.myfun.com.au/

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has been there since I was a kid (and that's a while ago now!) It's always been a popular place because it's a chance to get up close and very personal with all sorts of wild creatures, especially the rainbow lorikeets that flock in to be fed. It's fabulous to stand there and have them calmly climb all over you! There's lots more there to see, all sorts of native animals. There are crocodile wetlands, large open areas of free-ranging animals, a walk-through rainforest aviary (largest in the Southern Hemisphere), koalas to cuddle and kangaroos to feed. And I still have an opal ring that my dad bought me from the rock shop! They also re-open at 7.00pm so that you can have a night experience - Wildnight Adventure - two and a half hours of night time exploration, mixing with many of the nocturnal animals that are not seen during the day. Animal shows run right throughout the day and an Aboriginal dance troupe also shares stories from one of the world’s longest surviving cultures. http://www.cws.org.au/

Dreamworld

1 Recommendations: 1 Favorable,

Rides, rides and more rides!! Thrills for all ages. Dreamworld boasts what they call the Big 6 - these stand above all the other rides for sheer gut-wrenching terror or pleasure, whatever is your feeling about it. With names like the Tower of Terror, the Giant Drop, the Claw and the Wipeout, you can imagine for yourself. There are gentler adventures, something to suit every member of the family. As well there are tigers on the island in the centre of the park and you can see tiger shows. It's a full day out - you won't get away with less! Very busy in school holiday times.
