Sigiriya
44 Recommendations: 41 Favorable, 3 Critical
With the Addition of the new Museum. the site seems more complete. New toilets have also been proposed, and hopefully will be completed soon. The new car park is a great thing, but it is not complete yet. Some , but not all the items being sold by various people on site are not of good quality. All in all a great site to visit.

Kandy
26 Recommendations: 26 Favorable,
Kandy is a City that has to offer the most to a visitor to our beautiful Island. It is still the cultural and arts and crafts center of Sri Lanka. While in Kandy, one can visit the Temple of the Tooth, the Botanical gardens of Peradeniya, Kandyan Dance Program, Kandy Lake, Gem Museum, Batik Factory, Wood Carving Center, The Kandy Market. A visit to the Mahaweli Riverside may gain one a view of the Elephants being bathed. One of the best times to visit Kandy, and specially the Botanical gardens is in the Months of April and May, when almost all the flowering trees are in full bloom. The highlight of Kandy is the Esala pageant, the Esala perahera, held each year over 10 days of pomp and pageantry, with the hundreds of dancers, musicians, flag bearers, nilames, flame twirlers and also the richly decorated Elephants numbering close to a hundred.

A beautiful place with many rare medicinal plants. Also the sea around rumassala contains some of the most beautiful corals of Sri Lanka. Though some of these was destroyed by the Tsunami, they seem to have recovered fast. The are though close to the Galle City, is quite well protected.

Pitawala Mini World's End in Knuckles Range
24 Recommendations: 24 Favorable,
If you are trekking in the Knuckles Area, do not miss a chance to see this view, a drop of almost 300 meters. Pitawela Pathana is in itself a very nice and wonderful place to visit. A high plateau in the mountains, with quite a variation in the vegetation too.
