Hi. You may want to have a look at the following website:
www.fotocasa.es
The largest database of apartments for sale or rent (weeks, months) in Spain. Hope it helps.

Hi!
As a tourguide, I work mostly with hotels than appartments, so I can't help with that, however I can give you a few tips on where to or not to rent the appartment.

If you visit my hotels googlemap http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=es&msa=0&msid=115688956577170807574.000459481ece79538ade7&z=13 you'll find there I've marked the main tourist sites, the Central Eixample, Old Town and Beaches areas, as well as some zones to avoid.

As for the Old Town, if you are planning to stay for that long please take into account a few things:

- Most buildings (even refurbished ones) don't have elevator. Be ready to climb stairs everyday.
- Some streets are busy with nightlife. That is true for the weekends, and in the summertime that's everyday. That can be good if you are a party fan, but it can be bad if you plan to sleep at night...
- Quieter streets are ok, however, most tourist I've had staying there felt usafe walking them at night (although they really aren't dangerous, you just can get lost if you don't know your way around).

If I should reccomend other areas, I'd consider the central part of Eixample, or a not touristy district that is near the subway (L3 green line is probably the one you are likely to use the most for tourism).

Best regards,

Marta

Hi Katherina!... I will be on vacation during all August and I would like to rent my own appartment, it's really nice since its an attic, so you have a big terrace and a balcony. It's in the Eixample area of Barcelona, very near the Old City, just 20 minutes walking. It's totally furnished, very pretty with a modern design style, big windows with a lot of light. The building has elevator and the flat fits perfectly 2 to 4 people.

In case you'd like to stay more than 1 month, we could arrange for a couple of weeks more.

Let me know if you are interested and I could send you some pictures so you can have a look at it.
