Calabar is one of the most peaceful area in Niger Delta,i belt you will never have any security problem,calabar is people are very good and friendly people,that after your visit you will need t o go back again..is also a quiet place,and the people are very peacefully minded without any trouble.

Calabar is the most peaceful entity in the Niger Delta. The people are friendly and the city is well layout making logistic planning and social services very easy. Calabar is also the neatest Africa town. Variety of options exist from Tinapa to secured, well planned and convenient Obudu range trip. All Tourist are welcome anyday. So far no one has been kidnapped in Calabar and political killings is also a non existent occurrence.

Hi,it is the safest among the Niger Delta States and is so so peaceful....clean fresh air, its a linear state with one way entrance to the capital which makes for security and has very hospital people and social nightlife with no case of tourists kidnap.

Although Calabar happens to be in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, it is by far, one of the most peaceful areas in the region. A great tourist delight with numerous idyllic locations. The Obudu cattle ranch is definitely a must for any visitor, not to mention the annual carnival which rivals the nottinghill carnival in the UK.

yes, really calabar is in the niger delta region of nigeria which is considered by many to be a hot bt i can tell u that calabar is very peaceful.it is one of the best tourist state in nigeria.it was even chosen to host the miss world finals. it is home to the obudu cattle ranch and many exotic beaches. it is the cleanest city in nigeria. so u can go and enjoy ursef in calabar

Calabar is one town you will rearly hear cases of kindnapping or thugerry, that's the reason it called canaan the paradise city. its sereen and peacefull. an experience of it is what you'll savour forever.

Calabar is a very safe and peaceful location in the Niger Delta. The people are also friendly, a tourist will not have any security issues there.

Tourists in Calabar are as safe and secure in Calabar as they can be in anyother region of Nigeria .Niger delta region is infamous for kidnapping of expertriates working in the oil and gas companies,but i do not think tourists are at risk as much as the wortkers as these crimes are politically motivated.But a tourist to calabar must be careful to take necessary precautions as kidnapping has escalated all over Nigeria not just in Niger delta and expertriates and oil n gas workers are no longer the only targets .
