All depends on what you want to see and do!
You can get a "flavour" for the city in 4-5 days, but to explore fully and to see the real Kyiv away from Khreshchatyk and Independence Square allow more time!

Hello! Depending on your interests it might take from 3 to 30 days). But to get the first good impression two days might be enough. I live in this city for ten years and have not visited still all places that worth it.

The number of days really depends on what kind of program you would like to have during your vocation in Kiev. I think if use your free time reasonable, and have a good city guide - its enough to spend 1 week in Kiev. The main places are: Sofiyivskaya square, Michalovskaya cathedral, funikuler, have a walk at old part of Podol. Next day you can arrange excursion to Park of Glory, then Kievo-Pecherskaya lavra with many museums next to this area, them museum of Second World War. Also I reccomend to visit Mariinsky park and territory next to Ark of Friendship. Also interesting excursion to Pirogovo village - fantastic museum of Ukrainian architecture, and also botanic garden on Pechersk.

A fortnight is enought to get a feel of Kyiv' spirit, visit all memorable places, and acquire life-long local friends. The best timing to visit is September - October.

take 10 days with 2 weekends - we have a lot of party places! and during a week u can see all historical places, museums, monuments and churches
